Stayed here a few times. Good value, great location - only 5 mins walk to my favourite 24 hour bookstore. Breakfast has seasonal food. Nice natural yogurt. Serves mixture of local yummies and many veggies that I have never seen before. (summer months) In the winter, they have fresh soya hot and congee. I love their breakfast room, which double up as their sitting area. Free wifi, free internet, and if you didn't bring your's. You can use their iMac or Apple laptop.
Ok, the rooms - don't get a suite, because you will not be able to see clearly at all in the living area. Extremely DIM lighting. If you happen to need to book such a room, ask housekeeping for a floor lamp. The kind size bed is absolutely heavenly. I stayed in 807. This is a deluxe suite. Do not book their Corner Suite (windows facing chimney and noisy vent.) Oh, one more thing, this place really is perfect for business, they provide u with a HTC mobile phone, so anyone who calls u at the hotel while you are on the go will be automatically diverted to the mobile. (costs nothing to receive calls. No SMS or direct number though.)

I recently stayed at Les SUites for the second time and it was great. The location is convenient, the rooms may be a little old, but are still comfy and the small size makes it feel homely. The best feature was the mobile phones they lent us which allowed us to use the hotel intercom when we left the building.

My only criticism is that the toilet would make an odd noise every now and again. Other then that everything was great.

There is nothing complain about staffs. Taxis easy available, subway is only 5-10 mins walk away.
What I have the problem with was the quality of the room, and the value of what I paid for (£120/night). The room is small and old style. The towels are not properly clean. The water in the shower will escape to the sink area. The safe box is not bolt on to the shelf, and it can be moved.
Overall, les suites da-an is over priced in this quality. The lobby is modern but the room is outdated. Don't recommend to stay.

My wife and I stayed at Les Suites Taipei Da-An in early October 2011 on a business trip and were extremely satisfied. Look beyond the small hotel lobby, and everything is at least as good as a 5-star hotel, especially the friendly, proactive and responsive service of the front desk staff. And we have stayed at the Sherwood, Hyatt, Sheraton in Taipei... Location is convenient, close to shopping, restaurants and the metro, but hidden in a quiet small-street. The room is modern and efficiently equipped. The internet and cell phone provided with the room are so convenient for a business traveler. The included breakfast is outstanding. The selections are not so extensive as the breakfast buffets at the other delux hotels, but we found the Les Suites breakfast setting to be much more comfortable.
