My family and I stayed at the Golden China Hotel while visiting relatives recently. We were very pleased with the quality of the rooms. The queen-sized bed was firm but comfortable. The rooms feature free wired internet (cable included) and basic cable TV with a few international channels. The entire staff was very friendly and helpful. They spoke Taiwanese, Mandarin, Japanese, and English. We took advantage of the buffet breakfast. It offered traditional Chinese breakfast (porridge, pastries, a few dishes) and Western breakfast (eggs, ham, etc.). The downstairs restaurant was a bit expensive, though clean and nicely decorated. There's a small gift shop off the lobby. We also discovered a small outdoor putting green on the roof (13th floor), but was disappointed there was no indoor gym. For the more adventurous, there are several nearby cafes and pastry shops. We also discovered the local outdoor market 0.5 mi away.
