we had just come back from two weeks trekking and wanted to treat ourselves with a nice hotel. on a first glance, tulsi seemed like a nice place for 35$. the first thing i asked was if they have hot water 24 hours and they said yes, but for the entire stay (one whole day - we are packing to find another hotel right now) there were freezing water. as i complained the staff kept smiling and did very little. one of them entered our room without knocking to check if his collegue was there! we were almost naked! by the time they "fixed" it ( i.e. making the water slightly warm) they didnt even bother to inform us.
the rooms are in early stages of decay, the staff hardly speak english and are completely clueless about your needs. it is better to stay at a 500 rupees a night guest house than to throw away 35$ ( off season price) on this waste basket of a hotel.
