my experience at pilgrims was pleasant from the word go, with the friendly staff helping out the best they could with a large booking of 10+ people immediately, the basic rooms, are all you need for a nice quite night sleep away from the busying Thamel, with satisfactory toilet and T.V vicinities within. eat in is always a good option at Pilgrims in its glamorous garden setting with its all day menu consisting of western and nepali food to suit your needs, topped off with great service from the kindest person i have ever met, Sunny, who will give you the best service in the surrounding area. GREAT PLACE FOR MID RANGE BUDGET!

“Basic hotel in good location”

Hotel was cheap and basic. No luxury here. Bed comfortable but bathroom a bit damp but grand when the electricity worked and I managed to have a hot shower. Electricity wasn't guaranteed! Staff very friendly and hotel secure.Gates locked at night so be careful if you arrive late at night. Great outside garden. Only major complaint was my room was cold at night and early morning.

“Great garden, good location on the edge of Thamel”

I stayed here with a friend 3 years ago for a couple of nights, booked our room at the airport. I originally thought this hotel would be located near the Pilgrims Book Shop but it is more on the edge of Thamel - not too far away but quieter. The garden is a nice place to hang out, have a drink and meet people. Room was sunny and clean. The one problem was at night they closed the gate and there was no sign on the outside - my friend and I got lost after eating dinner and had trouble finding the hotel.
