Stayed in this hotel before and after my trekking tour. The rooms are great - clean, spacious and comfortable. (After 18 days in the mountains the hot shower was my favorite part of the room)
In theory you don't really have to leave the hotel cause it is all there from internet to restaurants, pool and a little souvenir shop. But if you do, Thamel is only a stones throw away.
Best on the hotel is def. the staff. All very friendly and dedicated.
I have only given 4 stars cause although dinner wasn't bad, breakfast was a bit of a disappointment. The fruit tasted after nothings, there were no labels on anything so it was a bit of a guessing game what juice/fruit one was presented and an hour after service started buffet was almost empty and nothing got refilled. breakfast is definitely something they can improve on - especially when considering that many trekkers will leave from the hotel, fly to Lukla and start with trekking on same day, a good farewell breakfast can make the difference.
