INDO HOTEL & RESTAURANT now known as CHELSEA PLACE HOTEL & RESTAURANT

Stay away from this poor apology for a hotel. Read the letter I am sending to the management -


My wife and I stayed at the hotel on the 8 and 9 December and were charged US$70.00 per night for a double room; we intended to stay for ten days but had to check out after two nights.

The facilities in the room were deplorable, to say the least, we were given only one bath towel for two people, there was no toilet roll and we have to provide our own toilet soap for washing, these photographs support our complaint.

1. Disgusting, under cooked and inedible omelette.
2. Broken toilet seat
3. Broken bath plug
4. Loose tap
5. Only 1 glass in bathroom for two
6. Piece of kitchen floor rag for a bath mat
7. Torn carpet
8. A piece of dirty string holding a shower curtail rail

We stayed at the hotel in November 2005, when it was Indo and under different management, needless to say we will not stay there again.

The hotel was very well situated. It is only two minutes from the main entertainment and shopping district in Osu. The staff were very helpful and courteous. The hotel or Guest House has a Internet Cafe, which I found to be fast and efficient. It is also open 24 hours. I called before arriving and was met at the airport by the Hotel Bus. All in all I found the hotel and the rooms to be clean and well serviced. I will most definately stay at the hotel when I make my next visit to Accra.
