If you are not looking for a luxury but simplicity, cleaniness, and warmness, this is the one. They have a moquito net in the rooms; that's the main thing if you are looking for a hotel in bujumbura. and as others mentioned, there is a restaurant in the backyard; and the food is nice! And value for money!

Much as others have written - this is a good, pleasant, clean and laid back hotel with helpful staff, most of whom speak English.

There is a good restaurant downstairs in the courtyard - and a reasonable bar across the road that shows the rugby & football.

I travel a lot and thought that this was a really good little place.

Enjoyed a good meal & surprisingly good wine here one evening.

This is a charming French run hotel I decided to book due to the recommendations on Trip Advisor.

Staff are very helpful and attentitive and there are nice touches such as free laundry, 7 days a week.

Rooms are spacious and have a separate alcove with a table and several chairs. Bathrooms are huge and the plumbing and electricity works. Everything is spotlessly clean. There is a fridge in the room with soft drinks and South African cable TV with zillions of channels. There is supposed to be WIFI Internet connection in the rooms but I couldn’t get this to work.

The food at the restaurant is reknown in Buj for being among the best.

Prices are reasonable. I paid $80 for a single including breakfast (continental).

I would stay here again and highly recommend this little gem.
