“Lokuthula Lodge Review”

Loved staying here in a three bedroom lodge with seven of us in all. We didn't have any instructions or orientation and went to sleep in our room without zipping up the front canvas. We had failed to notice that the canvas could be drawn up and zipped. Then we were awakened with a phone call at 2AM and asked to zip up the front out of concern for bandits or burglars.

The county of Zimbabwe is in serious decline due to government corruption and the fact that Zimbabwe has become a kleptocracy. Therefore, power outages are pretty much a daily a reality. This makes keeping food refrigerated a challenge. Our refrigerator smelled of spoiled food, and was not cold.

We enjoyed using the Victoria Falls Safari Lodge as our restaurant. We also were entertained by watching the watering hole and observing a wonderful lightning storm from the safety of the Vic Falls Lodge.

As a value, Lokuthula lodge was a good choice and I would definitely recommend it as one of the better values in Victoria Falls.

“Fantastic place to chill out, or experience the high adrenaline stuff too!”

This place is lovely, and will deff recommend to anyone else. The lodges are well equipped, (kitchen stuff in particular!) and anything that is missing, will be replaced right away if you let a staff member know. There is lots of open space around the lodges meaning you have a lot of wildlife coming through.....for example, we had Gineau Fowl, Warthogs, Monkeys and baboons all outside the back of our lodge.

The staff are all very welcoming, and so helpful. The manager came to introduce himself in person to us, and at the time, we had a sprinkler malfunction, meaning the water started to spray everyone and the manager dived onto it to stop it, whilst appologising over and over again. Any problems are dealt with straight away, and everyone is very friendly.

It is also the home of the famous BOMA restaurant, which is a must do when there. It is such fun to have such a great african experience in a restuarant, with dancing, drumming, game meats, and so much more, This is a MUST for anyone staying here. Great fun.

The pool/s are lovely, and you can also oversee the water hole from the hotel bar, which is fantastic. Close enough to the city, so you can organise any activities you want to do.

Highly recommend this place and wold love to go back! :)

We had a lovely time here, it helps that they have running hot water that never finishes no matter how many people bath before you. I loved it guys...No self catering and house keeping comes in everyday to fix you up. I loved it, well manicured lawns too...
