Ok, it's a resort. But unless you want to spend the money to stay at the Victoria Falls Hotel, and if the falls are the reason you are town, it's a good option. Contrary to what others experienced, we found friendly staff and a clean place. We had to insist a bit that the extra bed was actually meant to be a bed rather than a matress on the floor, but again: you get what you pay for and Vic Falls is an expensive place.

Elephant Hills was good the 2 nights we stayed but I wouldn't want to stay any longer. Our first night had amazing views of the falls from the sixth floor but when we came back later in the week for our second night stay we were in on a lower level. It is quite a distance from Victoria Falls, however it is close to the helipad and cruises. We had a decent buffet breakfast both mornings, but we decided to have dinner in the restaurant one night and it was very bland. A word of warning also regarding the laundry service… IT COSTS A FORTUNE!! Maybe it is like this at all hotels but for people that have never ordered a laundry service before receiving a bill for US$130 was a bit overwhelming.
Having said all that, we still enjoyed staying at Elephant Hills. The staff were extremely helpful and the view stunning!

THe view is amazing, the steeing is great. THe hotel has potential but..... cleaning seems to be a luxury they cannot afford as well as friendliness !. It is as if everysingle request is an assult and insult to the staff!!!!

We stayed at the Elephant Hills Hotel between the 17th and 20th December 2011. We had a good stay. The hotel location is great. The staff was absolutely friendly and helpful. We requested a change of room after the first night because the room practically flooded after we showered. We were promptly moved to another room. Our kids who were in the room next door, were also moved to another room, next to us. The rooms are good and spacious but can definitely use some work. The food was good but a bit pricey. I would stay here again.

Stayed at Elephant Hills one night as AZambezi was full, so got a good comparison between the two and we very much preferred the AZambezi River Lodge. Elephant Hills is a big resort that is very busy relative to many other hotels. The staff were very nice and the welcome was very friendly so no complaints with the people, but the rooms and the hotel (and golf course) are in definite need of some updating, especially for the price paid. Would stay there again, but wouldn't be one of my first choices in Vic Falls.
