If you are attending a conference or convention at the adjoining facility, this makes a good place to stay. Rooms are large and comfortable although the property is showing its age. Far larger than European rooms and on par with typical American hotels, the rooms offer a decent work surface as well as an easy chair and an adequate number of outlets to recharge your electrical devices. Outlets are typical 220v two round pin types - found throughout Africa.
Internet was available in the rooms as well as in the lobbies...most of the time. Spent four nights there last month and only had Internet three evenings. Service was slow, but I was able to upload some photos to Facebook without any issues.
The bathroom is also spacious, with the exception of the shower which is cleverly installed behind the bathroom door and of most modest dimensions. The bath had a separate spray unit for rinsing that needed to have its washers replaced as it sprayed in every direction when used.
On the lobby level of the hotel were two restaurants. The larger was a buffet style restaurant with plenty of choices. Service was slow, but most of the time you were getting your own food, so it didn't matter. Waiting for drinks was a ten minute deal at most times.
75% of the staff I encountered were quite friendly and helpful, with the remaining 25% seemingly waiting for the end of their shift, so they could go home.
Handicap guests can get in the lobby and up to the rooms without assistance, however everywhere else in the hotel would be a challenge. There are a couple steps involved to get to just about everything else (two restaurants, bar, conference center,)
Overall, I had a good experience at the hotel and for the right price, I would return again.
