This hotel seems to be well known, as our taxi from the airport took us straight there, no problem. The reception is on the first floor, no lift, and watch your step as the marble stairs are quite worn down. The staff are incredibly friendly and communication was fine, although only one person speaks any English (not really expected, anyway!). Rooms were clean, if worn down a little. Got woken at dawn by the call to prayer, which wasn't a bad thing, as it meant we could experience the Tunis medina nice and early. The breakfast was fresh and simple. Bathroom was adequate. Hotel is in a great location, 5 minutes from the medina gate. The staff were happy to let us leave our luggage until late in the evening the day we left, as we had a late train. Overall a good experience.
