This is a troubled spot and not the place for a vacation. The hotel staff are tense and anxious. While they gave their best effort there was obviously stress in the work place which reflected in the service. In better times this would likely be a good business hotel. Dinning room food was good. It looks like it has the space to accommodate a mid size conference be but not a place for a holiday. Its a long walk to the centre of the city or drive to the sea.

Thank you especially to the staff, always very available. Rooms are spacious and quite clean. Nice pool and garden bar (with good local music). To be improved: some guests maybe noisy, more controls on the floors would be of benefit; TV channels (US and Europe). Position is ok: no restaurants open at night in the surrounding. But taxi are not expensive.

Our room was large and had a view of the park behind the hotel. The dinner buffet was excellent. The Wi-Fi only worked outside of the hotel, but since I was on vacation this was not a great concern. It's a bit of walk to the center of Tunis and the medina, but a taxi ride there is very inexpensive.

Service at this hotel is terrible. At check-in, nobody could tell me whether or not the rooms had wifi (they don't). But the worst thing was that, having had the reservation and room request confirmed twice by someone based in Tunis, they gave me a room that was already occupied! I walked in and there was a man in the bathroom! I would definitely recommend putting everything you can in the tiny safe - I also saw a cleaner let someone else into what I hope was their room without asking for any form of ID or proof.
Less important service issues are also neglected. No clean knives left in the breakfast room at 8am, and my food was cold by the time I got one. Room service also arrived cold. And don't even bother asking for an espresso in the morning - after 5 attempts, I still haven't managed to get one...
