“Not the Sheraton standards”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 February 2012 via mobile

I'm currently staying in Sheraton and in the VIP floor and here are my comments:

Morning breakfast in the 5th floor lounge provide low standard food with very few varieties
Wifi Internet is slow and keeps disconnecting
In room dinning service time is open and sometimes they forget you
Long waiting time for them just to pick up the laundry from the room
Nuts in the mini bar is very well sealed that you cannot open it and of course you cannot eat it
The water heater for the coffee and tea which is in the room does not work
Evening room service is just bothering service where one staff enters the room and take 15 seconds round in my room doing basically nothing
You sit in the lobby waiting for anyone to come to you to have a tea, no one really show up
When I arrived to hotel from the airport, no one was at the door to take the luggage from the taxi
Painting smell in the lobby
Sandwich club comes with french fries with no ketchup, strange.
Old dull furnature
No special or fine touches.
Sheraton fine service standard is not there

Stayed there for business. The lobby is nice, the rooms are cosy and quite big, everything is at hand and the crew is really friendly.

“Very Good Service, Good Hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 January 2012

I traveled to this hotel on business and my view is from that perspective.

Depending on traffic the hotel was about 15-20 minutes from the airport. It should cost you about TD5 to get there. The hotel is situated nicely on a hill and has a beautiful sweeping view of the area. The lobby is nice and large with some beautiful sitting areas. They provide PC's with internet access and supposedly free wifi in the lobby but whenever I tried to access the free wifi it kicked me to the pay portal. To be fair I didn't bother pursuing the staff about where or how I get the free wifi they said was available in the lobby.

The small hotel store was that, very small selection with no cold drinks and very few snacks.

I ordered the room service a couple of times and both meals were middling to poor, however, the meals weren't horribly expensive. The food was delivered in a timely manner and the wait staff were very good. The breakfast buffet is very expensive for what you get. It had a reasonable selection of foods but the fruits were canned, and the cereal selection woeful. They had a hot station that made omelettes but it was open once when I dined there and not open the other time. The eggs and meat provided were okay but again fairly pricey for what you paid. There are several other restaurants on the property but I didn't visit them so I can not comment.

The room that I had was excellent. Large room with sofa and great bed with excellent pillows and good duvet. The bathrooms were large and the shower had reasonable pressure. The bathrooms had a shower stall and bathtub and the toilet was placed in a separate room. The room had a minibar and balcony. Lower room floor didn't have a great view but it was a lower room floor so I didn't expect much. If you prefer a non smoking room definitely ask in advance as most of the rooms are smoking. The room I was in was a smoking room but I didn't find it too smoky. FYI, there is a bar downstairs from the room i was in (120's) and I recommend if some noise bothers you to ensure the you are placed elsewhere.

Overall the staff were very good and helpful. I had a few issues (the ATM at the hotel keeping my money for one) and they were legitimately concerned and did their best to help.

Overall, my experience in the hotel was a good one. I would recommend it.

Room Tip: Lower floor in the 120's area can be very noisy due to the bar downstairs.

“Good hotel but the service should be better”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 January 2012

The Hotel Sheraton in Tunis is a good hotel, offering a lot of confort and service, may be not at the some level of the others hotels of spg hotels. But they are working to renovate a part of the building, and the rooms are very confortable. In the spring and summer you can enyoj a very nice swimming-pool (there are two, one external and the other inside). The spa and fitness club is excellent. We have got the breakfast in tower lounge (5th floor), a kind of vip area, but the breakfast was really very poor ( not at all at the level of the name of the hotel), but it seem that the breakfast served normally in the restaurant is correct.
