“Fantastic location”

Rooms are good, service too, food not so much, but nothing of that matters because you are there for the crossing of the river and that is truly an amazing once-in-a-lifetime experience. When we saw it, the crocodiles were a bit lazy and did not catch anything but the size of the migration is out of this world. You travel for a whole day and you just see wildebeests and more wildebeests, zebras and more zebras - stunning.

“Amazing!”

What an amazing place in an amazing location... The camp is nestled in the among the rocky outcrops, your home is elevated tents, (if you can really call them that), they were spacious, richly furnished, and seamless with the surroundings. Sitting in rockers on the deck of our tent, with animals wandering right by, and at times right up to your tent. At night you are surrounded by the sounds animals moving about outside your tent or in our case grunting and rubbing up agains the platform of the tent. Staff were wonderful, the food was great, the views of the evening sunset amazing and on one evening an outrageous lightening storm. All part of the very positive memories of our stay here.

“Glamping in the Serengeti!”

A luxury tented lodge - definately glamping not camping! Surrounded by animals and out in the bush!. The service was excellent although the staff should have been briefed on the menu and drinks choice. The food needs to be more variable with a little more choice. Not the best experience at meal times we have had in Africa but maybe this was due to the Manager being on annual leave. Ken the assistant Manager did try his best but there was room for improvement . Dan the waiter was brilliant and made up for everything!

“This is real Africa (in the imagination of the Luxury Safari traveler)..”

On our last stop of our Tanzania Safari, we stayed at the Migration Camp. The setting at Grumeti River, with a breathtaking sunset atmosphere, is just wonderful and fulfils the image of a luxury lodge in Africa. The attentive and friendly staff is making the visitors fill very well. Amazing are the sounds in the evening and at night – especially the Hippos from near river are unique. The chef and his team make every meal a moment to look for. Ideal place to discover the rich wildlife of the area.

“"Perfect Everything"”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 17 November 2011

We spent 3 great nights there and it was just wonderful. The location was perfect from seeing Giraffes while having coffee in the morning on our porch and seeing a family of baboons sitting on our deck. Seeing the hippos down by the river and listening to them. The tents as they call them were amazing!!! Super showers and bath and decorated to the nines. The main lodge was just beautiful and the staff could not be better or warmer. The food was excellent and everyone could not have been more helpful.

Room Tip: All rooms are in a great location and all require a short walk to the main lodge.(comfortable shoes)
