I went for dinner to Mediterraneo. The ambiance is way too amazing, I really fancied the atmosphere, very peaceful and tranquil. I was also very happy with the food. We ordered margarita and pizza, which was very tasty, although its pricey. But good things in life come with a price.

We only spent one night at Mediterraneo on our way to Zanaibar and wished we could've stayed longer. The rooms and property have been laid out in exquisite Zanzibarian style. The location with its personal patch of white sand powder beach is tranquil with a picture-perfect view. You're so close to the water line you almost fear the waves will wash up against the windows of the restaurant as you dine at high tide.

The price is the same as the upscale options in the city center, but the quality and enjoyment of your stay is exponentially higher. Highly recommended and would definitely come back again.

We spent just one night here after a late air arrival but the service was great, the room quiet, clean and comfortable. We awoke to a beautiful view of the ocean for breakfast at the restaurant.

The rooms are a little spartan, but the hotel, food and restaurant, the loungers directly next to the sea more than make up for any small shortcomings. And the food is wonderful, make sure to try the Prawn Cocktail starter, nothing you will have tried before, superb.
