We were put up in this hotel by Precision Airways when our flight from Zanzibar to Nairobi was cancelled and we were re-routed via Dar-es-Salaam. Fortunately we only stayed there for two and half hours before our taxi collected us at 3 a.m. to take us back to the airport.
The reception area looked ok - dated but clean enough - and the staff were helpful and efficient. The rooms however were a different story.
The bedrooms were grubby and the bathroom was in desperate need of refurbishment. We did not use the shower as this had seen better days, but those in our party who had reported that the water did not heat up at all. Nor did we feel like getting into the beds, but lay on top instead.
We asked for food to be delivered to our rooms as we had not eaten since lunchtime. Admittedly it was 12.30 at night but the sandwiches which came were inedible (stale bread with a "filling" of salad which barely covered the bread). We placed it outside the room to be collected by the staff when they passed.
We don't know what the prices were like for this hotel, but it is not a hotel to be recommended.
