We booked here because of the Beatnik connection (William Boroughs wrote 'The Naked Lunch' here) and because it was cheap (we paid 500 dirham for two nights in a twin room which is about £10 each per night).
It's a bit tricky to find (off the corner by The Rembrandt hotel, go about 50m then turn right and go down the hill, it's on the left) but once you're there the people are friendly and helpful. There's no food - it's just a room, no en-suite (in our room at least, just a wash-basin the wc and bathroom are separate).
Our second night was spoiled by a very noisy party going on in the bar below, but that's not the hotel's fault - it can happen anywhere.
Generally 'old' and not recently decorated but it was clean, and cheap so if you're on a budget it could work for you. (And about a 15 min walk to the ferry port if you're on your way over to Spain as we were.)
