The Medina area of Tangiers can seem exotic to Westerners but it is seedy when the surfaced is scratched. Dar Nour B & B is the same way. The rooms are very different than the norm but things don't work well, like the toilet and shower. The rooms are very dim and not overly clean. We had to keep the windows open as there is not A/C which created sight line issues for us. The 4:00-5:00 AM calls to prayer were a surprise and kind of neat the first day but a big nuisance after that. We were accosted by a teen age beggar just outside the hotel and had to wait to get in to the hotel after we knocked which only made the experience with the persistent beggar even worse. (The hotel does not give the guest a key to the front door.)
The staff was nice but most do not speak any English. This created a problem when we tried to change our reservation for the dinner and no one who spoke English was available. All in all, we would not stay here again and can not recommend it anyone.
