“Just satisfactory”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 21 August 2009

For some reason the song "Hotel California" plays on a consistent loop in the lobby / bar / restaurant area.

The lobby is well-decorated. Some of the room furniture is interesting. The higher rooms offer decent views.

The hotel is dimly lit, maybe to hide how dusty and unkempt the furniture is... I've stayed at hostels that have been better maintained. My shower was in a state of disrepair. The bathroom needed a lot of work and a serious cleaning.

Don't eat in the hotel restaurant. The prices and food are better on the outside. Also, don't bother with the bar.

However, for the traveler coming from Europe for a weekend trip, the prices and location were just fine. The staff was helpful and very accommodating in terms of language.

“What a hotel!”

Wow! Best hotel I've ever been to!

The rooms are luxurious and bathrooms are incredibly clean, not a tile out of place! The design is incredible, most unexpected!
For a quiet night in, there is a wide choice of TV and radio in every room (not all in African)!

The food is also of top quality, freshly baked rolls, freshly squeezed orange juice, and the best damn scrambled eggs i've ever tasted!

The staff are incredibly nice and helpful. They listen to your every comment and cater to all your needs. I should also mention that they have the most advanced communication system I have ever seen.

Our tour guide was also very good, knew exactly what to do and was extremely well organised, his organisation skills were of the best i've seen. We felt very safe and reassured with him around.

I feel I must make special mention of the pianist in the hotel bar. His renditions of modern classics were indescribable and I cannot begin to describe the experiance here as I feel I cannot convey his talent in mere words. You have to hear him for yourself to see his brillance.

You must stay at this hotel, it is unforgettable.

“cant wait to go back!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 16 September 2007

After reading some reviews of this Hotel i was dreading the trip but when i arrived and settled in i found every thing to be quite the opposite, granted it could do with a lick of paint but appart from that the staff where very helpfull and speak a range of languages,French,Spanish,Arabic and English. The food is very good value for money and the rooms are basic but adequet with A/C and tv.
the night life is excellent with 3 bars and a disco, also cabarete with dancers and traditional music .
Remember this is Africa not Europe therefore some of the things we take 4 granted in other hotels may only be to a 2 star rating apart from that i enjoyed myself,so much so i am going back in Nov and cant wait.

“it all depends on the passenger”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 21 August 2007

this is the first time I write a review and before going to this hotel I had read the reviews written here. The location is great, staff very good, breakfast poor quality, the coffee seemed to be dirty water and there wasn't too much to choose from, the pool is ok, however it was full with kids and so wasn't sure how clean it was. The restaurant down next to the pool was ok, but good prices for European people, but you can go to any other restaurant in the city and find cheaper ones.
Now the rooms and bathrooms are something else. There was a small cockroach in one of the bathrooms, my daughters were staying next to our room, the rooms were not made up till late in the afternoon cause the hotel was pretty crowded, and it really felt that everything was not clean enough, the showers didn't work properly and the temperature of the water changed from hot to cold and vice versa continuously, in both bathrooms.
So, if you can spend a bit more on the hotel don't hesitate to go to another hotel, if you are young and don't have too much trouble with this kind of problems, it'll be alright. Cheers!

“good value for money”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 May 2007

Stayed from the 4th to 6th of may, 4 women first time in morrocco paid only 47pounds each from travel agent in gibraltar. Well above our expectacions Hotel very clean, staff very friendly okay the place could do with a lick of paint and the rooms are basic but it was good value for money, the only thing that I would advise people is try to get a room at the back of the hotel as at the front there is a disco and is quite noisy, after reading some of the other reviews we were dreading breakfast but it was very good they have a selection of croissants, freshly made crepes, rolls there was also coffee fresh orange and fresh fruit overall of a good standard ,also one night we had dinner in the Hotel it was only 8 euros for a three course meal very good value for money, we enjoyed our stay and would recomend it to people who want value for money.
