I spent two nights in this hotel in Oct 2010 when travelling with a group of friends.
It is distinctly average, dated rooms and furniture, ok buffet breakfast etc, but having paid £18 per person per night over the internet, we knew what we were getting when we arrived.
Hotel staff are very friendly and helpful. Good base to explore Tangier from, especially if you are arriving at the port using a ferry from Algeciras in Spain as we were - walking distance to the hotel in 10-15 minutes.
We enjoyed a good meal at a restaurant close to the hotel (leave the hotel and walk left on the main road for 3-5 minutes, I've forgotten the name but it was a modern looking place with seating outside and a second level within the restaurant, decorated with black tiles). The set 3-course meals were very reasonably priced and we all enjoyed our meal there, the best we had in Tangier, especially the meatball and egg tagine.
Overall enjoyed my stay in Tangier and would return. Would use this hotel again if travelling with friends and wanted budget accommodation, but would not stay with family.
