There are so many positive reviews on the Miski, so will not repeat what others have said other than part of the charm is because of the care Christine puts into welcoming and settling in her guests when they first arrive - everyone is "specialed". Her warm, calm demeanour is easily matched by her staff. An inexpensive location with charm.

Riad Miski-- like most other riads in Marrakesh-- is an absolute surprise upon crossing the threshold. Behind the mud walls and painted doors lies a tranquil, Moroccan-tiled oasis with flowering plants, running water, ironwork windows, balconies, and crisp Mediterranean white walls. Our room (traveling with my parents) was perfect, overlooking the courtyard. Beds covered in plush pillows, small thoughtful details in the bathroom, ample closet space for storing our luggage.

My favorite place was the rooftop balcony where we were served mint tea upon arrival and became acquainted with our French expat host and hostess.

We decided to take a cooking class through the riad. Raja, Miski's housekeeper/ chef, took us shopping in the souks (a must-see! Jump at the opportunity to go with Raja or another guide), then taught us how to make a delicious gourmet meal. The one problem with Riad Miski was they charged us twice for this! Once for the cooking lesson, once for eating dinner at the riad (even though we cooked that meal in the cooking lesson...)

We also opted for a hammam on the upstairs balcony-- another must for new visitors to Morocco!

Overall a great riad, helpful staff, friendly and informative owners (Christine speaks English, her husband doesn't-- or didn't, when I visited in December 2010!) Highly recommended!

We are so glad we chose to stay at Riad Miski - a wonderful experience from start to finish. All our wishes were catered for - swift transfer from the airport, a tasty meal on arrival, a comfortable well-priced room, excellent breakfast - different breads and omelettes/pancakes each morning - and Christine makes a superb holiday rep - lots of recommendations of things to do, help orienting ourselves in Marrakech, and an amazing day trip up into the Atlas mountains.
Plus some entertainment from Francis the magician, and recommendations for good bartering prices in the souqs, and a dreamy Hammam right in the Riad.
Just fabulous!

The owners and staff are so welcoming and provide a wealth of knowledge and advise on to go and what to do in Marrakech, in addition to providing a beautiful, serene and exceptionally clean living environment, 5 star service, incredible food and a perfect location.

I would recommend it to all travellers who want to live well and experience the true style of Marrakech. Christine's knowledge and connections in Marrakech are invaluable and she offers amazing value for money. You won't regret a decision to stay here.
