A fantastic place to stay and chill out. One week is not enough and I can confirm that as one of only 2 English people staying here with 1000 French we were fully looked after and spoilt rotten by the staff.
Although 20 mins outside Marrakech the hotel bus is available, taxi,s are fairly cheap during the day but a bit steep after a late night downtown.
The rooms were of a good size and cleaned well every day with a maid who was very astute in getting in the room and doing her thing when we left for breakfast and before we returned after.
Food was of high quality with a buffet style and diverse in types given for each mealtime. Every nationality would find something to eat and enjoy. The only comment here was the Breakfast staff tended to be slightly out of sorts and surly with some crockery missing for coffee or cereal. Oh the coffee is a bit ugh and decent stuff was 1 Euro along with freshly squeezed Orange.
The amenities were first class the pool(s) excellent with a good level of participation by all guests and all having fun from early morning to evening. Music, local and modern also dancing for people who were outside eating or just drinking adjacent to the bar. Even the poor result by the football teams failed to stop the enjoyment. The indoor large hippodrome exhibited good shows by the staff who worked tirelessly all day in ensuring guests were kept happy. After hours the Disco contributes to the not so tired being further entertained.
The bracelet style security when buying cocktails or other paid extra,s works and no problems were encountered and a second one was obtained for the room.
A full massage in the Spa is recommended to relax further.
The most favourable part of the holiday was the complete attention given to some of the staff who wanted to speak English and want more English to visit and went out of their way to make us at home, The Bar staff in the evening (Mustapha) and staff in the Snack Bar during the day. Laura and others in and around the hotel during the day but especially Khidija who ensured that we were kept on our toes in and around the pool with Polo and Volleyball and even ate with our group when available. A very big thank you to her and a credit to the hotel.
My French language skills really improved during my stay and would not hesitate to return to enjoy the friendship and to chill. So I urge all English people to visit Club Maramara Madina even just to annoy the French, they love it really !!!
