I just logged into Trip Advisor and remembered i hadn't rated my stay at this awesome Riad. Then noticed they have been penalised for false reviews, i find this a shame as every review i read originally stacked up and was the reason we booked. Hopefully you'll find this review although think it's unlikely now if your just browsing trip advisor for your perfect retreat as they have been shunted to 179 on the list - My opinion NOT FAIR.
The stay was perfect from start to finish, we were collected on time from the airport and taken to the main square where another chap greeted us and took our luggage and guided us during a short walk to the Riad itself. When the doors opened we soon realised we had made the right choice leaving behind us the craziness that is marrakech to discover a perfect oasis of serenity.
Mint Tea and pastries on arrival, then up to our suite. We were lucky be able to book the Pasha Suite and yes the Jacuzzi is as amazing as it looks on the Website. Spotlessly clean, beautifully decorated and a huge bed. You will not want to leave this room but if you do make sure you dine in the restaurant - Food is devine. The staff were so friendly and helpful both prior to and during the stay. I try very hard to find fault in most places i visit but can honestly say it's Perfect.
Couple of tips if you want to experience a really good meal take a taxi to the new part of the city, the restaurants are first class and no different to what you would find in any good district of a European city. If you decide to stay and eat in the Medina in my opinion you will be playing roulette, i'm sure there are some lovely restaurants there we were just unlucky in finding one.
Hopefully Le Riad-Monceau will solve there grievance with Trip Advisor and this hotel will once again return to one of the top listings where it belongs!
