Having stayed in many wonderful riads and hotels in Marrakech, this beats all of them. I came with my wife and two children and we had an magical stay at riad les bougainvilliers. The riad has been beautifully restored and feels truly authentic, but with all the comforts many other riads lack. Lots of space, beautiful food and very friendly staff. We settled into a nice routine of wondering down to the main square early evening (just minutes away), drinking gin and tonic on the terrace and then being served an exquisite dinner... life doesn't get better! I shall return again and again... thank you for your kind hospitality!

Our experience of this riad got off to a dodgy start when our pre-arranged airport transfer didn't arrive. However, we got a taxi with no problems and made our own way there. We needn't have worried about the rest of our stay as it was lovely. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, and the room was clean, pretty and quiet. The breakfasts were great, and the location is perfect - close enough to be at the heart of the action, but not too close to be annoyed by the noise and bustle.
I would definitely go back to this riad, and hope to again sometime in the near future.

This riad is a real gem.
It is fantastically located, just a short walk from the main square, Jemaa el Fna.
Its beautifully restored, but offers all the modern conveniences that you would want.
Its family run, by 2 french brothers and their sister, who are really welcoming and go out of their way to help.
It has a great restaurant, which offers the best of morrocan-french fusion.
Its beds are extremely comfortable.
Its good value.

In fact, even if you weren't thinking of going to Morocco, this riad should make you change your mind. I've already booked my return trip!

We had researched this Riad well and booked on the internet through a travel company.
Picked up at the airport as arranged. dropped in a square as cars can not get close to the Riad. by foot only. handed on to a barrow boy who took us to the Riad-
We were warmly welcomed and taken to one of the courtyards and asked for out booking voucher, and offered coffee. The friendly Reception man then disappeared and a number of phone calls were made. He returned to us and explained that the booking had not got through to them and they had no spair rooms. But he had managed to get a suite in another more luxurious Riad a short walk away. He assured us we would be more than happy there, then escorted us himself to another larger beautiful Riad. we again were offered another drink and waited for the suite to be readied. and our cases to arrive.
I can only Thank Bourganvilliers for sorting this out in such a proffessional way. With minimal fuss, though we were worried ( my husband was physically sick with stress and we lost a few hours) we need not as all turned out well.
The only thing we missed was English as there were no others. where as Bourganvilliers seems to have mainly English customer and Slitine mainly German.
