We had no expectations other than the pics online. We were fully and absolutely well looked after from the moment we were picked up at the airport. If you never been to Marrakesh, the first time you step foot into the Medina could be somewhat overwhelming but the hospitality from the Riad Darna made out transition smooth and safe.
The Riad is extremely well located as its on the out-skirts of the Medina yet not in the heart of it which could be too much.
Our hosts, a lovely young couple did everything with in their power to make sure we were happy.
Breakfast in the terrace its out of this world.
The oasis inside the Riad bring a sense of calmness amongst the chaos going on outside its walls.
I would highly recommend anyone going to Marrakesh for the first time to stay here.

It's tricky to find, but there are plenty of locals willing to help you find your way. And once you've navigated your way through the souks it's only a 10 min saunter down to the Jamma El Fna.
Our room, the Yellow Room, had a beautifully decorated ceiling and an authentic Moroccon bathroom. It was exceptionally hot when we visited but we were made as comfortable as possible. A fan was provided and our drinks we kept regfridgerated til we needed them.
The breakfast was served on the roof terrace, heaps of bread, jam and mint tea, delicious.

Excellent Riad, beautifully decorated and a wonderful staff that was very helpful and cooked delicious diners.
Even though the Riad is hard to find (take the transfer from the airport), it is extremely well located in the Medina (only few minutes walk from Jemâa El Fna and other attractions)!
It is noisy at night (because of the proximity of the mosque).
The rooms could be better equipped and more comfortable, but other than that, I absolutely recommend Riad Darna!

Very clean good food we booked the evening meal for the first night as we were arriving late and excellent location.It is advisable to ask the riad to book transfers from the airport as it is hard to find till you get to now the area but one off the staff will take you to the Medina and meet you later to bring you back if you want.Brilliant riad would stay there again if i go back
