“Perfection”

We spent four nights here, on a much needed break. We wish we could have stayed longer. One feels privileged staying at Casa Taos - not only because of the gorgeous setting and gardens, the orange and mandarin trees; the wonderful, home-made, healthful and abundant food, cooked with passion, expertise and a subtle hand, those heavenly breakfasts and sublime dinners, made with ingredients that come direct from the garden and orchard; the peace so welcome after a day in hectic Marrakesh; the beautiful, large rooms and bathrooms, the choices of materials and colours; the perfectly thought-out and impeccably, discretely executed service. But also because this is the hosts' actual family home, where they receive everyone with the utmost generosity, elegance, and warmth; and by the time we left we felt more like house-guests and old friends than like passing tourists. We can't think of a better way to enjoy and get to know this part of Morocco.

“Good food, nice folk, away from the noise”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 January 2012

We stayed in Ousman suite, upstairs and with a view of the snow capped mountains. Lovely suite, original decoration, full size TV screen, comfortable bed and wood fire had we wanted it; only complaint is just a trickle of water in the shower. The staff are all lovely. The owner was away during our stay but the girl who did the cooking certainly knew her stuff. We were there early January, no other guests and in full season for fresh fruit and delicious juices. Breakfast is very good; they tend to overfeed you at dinner and it's hard to say no. Getting to town and back is simple as they have a preferred taxi service who drop you off in the centre and, when you ring, pick you up from the same spot. About 10 euros each way and totally hassle free. We were glad to get away from the bustle and dust of Marrakech mid afternoon and return to the tranquility of the pool and ornage orchard which surrouinds the house. Would definitely return.
To get here by car leave the Agadir-Casablanca motorway at the Marrakech Targa exit (if coming from Casa take the motorway towards Agadir to get to this exit), drive towards Marrakech, 16 km after the motorway toll there is a roundabout. Take the first left about 500 metres after the roundabout and you arrive direct at Casa Taos.

“Worth the great reviews”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 20 November 2011

I spent a week in Casa Taos with my family in October, in Botero Suite. The decor of the suite (and all the public spaces) was really beautiful, even more beautiful than in photos. Fresh flowers, great attention to detail. Very nice and romantic. As everyone has stated, the food is superb. We ate at the hotel at three nights, and also had lunches there. The lunch that was available was light "tapas" style lunch. The dinners were traditional Maroccoan food. There is a communal dining area at the hotel, where quests can sit around big tables together. The soul of the place, Mohammed, suggested us on dining on quiet yard in front of our room, so that our son can sleep on a couch near us, so we had the intimate dinners apart from the other guests. The atmosphere all together is very intimate, Casa Taos is more of a luxurious B&B than hotel. The owners are present, their kids with their friends play around, there is no lobby; when you need something you go to kitchen and ask etc. The place is very informal, if you love traditional grand hotels, this may not be a place for you. I found this place really really nice, no wonder it has such exceptionally good reviews. And it is surprising it is not reviewed in books and listed on different sites. A gem, go before more people find it.....

Room Tip: Botero and Matisse suits are both really beautiful, I would choose suite over normal room.

“Very very special”

We were recommended Casa Taos by a friend and were persuaded by the excellent reviews on trip advisor. The stay surpassed our expectations and was quite amazing. We stayed in the Suite de Sophia with a discounted rate. The room was huge, clean and has a great 'wow' factor. The real winner was the service which, as we had come to expect in Morocco, was exceptional. The food was so good that we were sad when we felt obliged to eat in Marrakech one night and missed the food at Casa Taos.
Despite being 20mins by taxi from the Medina, it's location is perfect. Away from the hustle and bustle, it's a great place to unwind and relax by the pool (which by the way is on the chilled side of comfortable temperatures). The taxis which were recommended by Casa Taos were friendly and reliable and worth keeping hold of (I think we would have struggled directing a taxi driver who didn't know where the guesthouse was).
Would recommend unequivocally.

“Brilliant for relaxation, delicious food and great service”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 18 October 2011

Myself and my boyfriend stayed at Casa Taos for 3 nights at the beginning of October. After 1 night at a Riad in the medina we were very much looking forward to escaping the hustle and bustle and we weren't disappointed. So peaceful and relaxing. Lots of effort spent on making the place look great, authentic and spotless. The owners were so friendly - a real family run vibe - and the service brilliant. The food was excellent (we had, both breakfast, lunch and dinner) and lots of care was taken. We never had a problem getting into an out of the medina (cabs organised by Casa Taos) and everyone we came across was helpful and friendly. We didn't really do anything but relax but the options were there if you visited for longer.
