“Very good Riad with nice staff”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 February 2011

We (mother and dauhter) stayed in this Riad for a week and we enjoyed it very much. We liked the breakfast on the terras. The staff was friendly on all levels. We had a premium room and the heating was very good. Important in winter. They are installing aircos now for the warmer periods. Although you have to walk through some narrow streets (where the hell do they bring us!!) after one day people know you and greet you. It is just a few minutes from Jemaa al-Fna. Great spot!!

“Beautiful riad near Djemaa el Fna, popular also with bees!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 28 January 2011

This is a very good riad very close to Djemaa el Fna. It is not easy to find it, and the streets are narrow and a bit dark, but the area feels safe. The riad itself is pleasant, but the rooms are a bit small, and in one of our rooms there was an unpleasant smell from the bathroom. We also had the suite, actually a big room, but very nice and spacious. I recommend booking the suite if you want to stay in comfort.

The interior is beautiful in typical Moroccan style. There is also a hammam in the riad.
Breakfast is served at the roof terrace which is a bit cold in winter mornings. On the other hand, this keeps the bees away. Whereas most riads serve their jams and honey in cowered bowls this one doesn't . Rumour has spread among bees in the area so they all arrive for breakfast. Breakfast service is very slow, but the staff is friendly and nice.

Unfortunately enough they do not accept credit cards. To reserve you have to pay 30% to their Spanish bank account. This is safe, but a bit unpractical. You then have to carry the rest in cash, which can feel a bit unpleasant.

“Super nice”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 18 November 2010

Super nice staff. Super nice room. Super nice terrace & Breakfast. 2min away from the central square. Don't be scared by narrow street access. 30% upfront payment 100% secure.

“Simple Riad (but watch out for Hammou's "recommendations")”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 November 2010

It is a small riad with a simplistic style at a central location for a relatively high price. Friendly staff and simple breakfast on a relaxing terrace. If you want sophisticated and lavishly decorated riads, you should look elsewhere. Confort rooms have no windows toward the streets and do not have much ventilation, so are not recommended. Streets feel a bit scary in the evenings (I was not robbed though). Hammou at the front desk will recommend you a two-day trip to the desert with Mr. Salem Azizi's Maroc Desert Aventure for 350 euros (he'll start asking you for 600 euros). He won't say that you can go with a group for 60 euros. Join the national sport of haggling :)

“Great place to stay and great location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 April 2010

I stayed here with my parents and I would recommend it to anyone. The location is amazing only 3 min walk from main square, the staff are all very helpfull and the hotel is clean and nicely decorated. The rooms are small but have lovely ensuite bathrooms, and the roof terrace is a lovely place to have your breakfast or escape from the hussle and bussle of this great city.
