Said picked us up at the small square of Riad Larousse, and we walked a couple of minutes to his Riad Massaoud, where we were served mint tea. Said is a very nice guy, he runs the place with his wife Bahija. He speaks good english, and was super helpful. The riad is very nice, old fashioned but refurbished and clean. Fatima and Rashida also work there and they were very welcoming and helpful too. Breakfast for me was 2 types of crepes with butter, honey and jam, VERY tasty and filling! My wife is coeliac and Bahija made milky cinnamon rice for her and omelettes, very very nice of her. Also coffee and fresh OJ. Great start to the day. The rooms have aircon and comfortable beds. The bathrooms are tastefully designed and with good hot showers. Nice terrace on the roof. They also looked after our bags when we went off trekking in the Atlas for 3 nights in the middle, and gave us a beautiful big room when we came back. Said even offered to drive us to his local hammam, which was typical of the level of customer service they provide. The riad was very quiet and peaceful especially after the madness of the souks, which are very close by. Djemma el Fna is also about 10 mins away if you go the right way, which takes a while to get used to. We had a great relaxed stay there and would highly recommend it.
