The rooms are plush and Morrocan, deep colours, big beds, marble bathrooms; the courtyards are beautiful. Thestaff wanted us to like Marrakech and had all the helpful advice that we needed while being unobtrusive. Zouhair was the perfect host and Ahmed was keen to ensure that we were always okay. While Marrakech is full of hustlers people running and working in hotels and shops want you to be comfortable, presumably so that you will spend more money, and therefore are very helpful.
We had a meal cooked for us in the riad, grilled sole, which was excellent. Breakfast was a joyful event. Fresh fruit and freshly squeezed mmandarin juice. Breads, eggs, Morrocan pancakes, croissants, tea and coffee.
The kids used the small and cold pool.
If was being picky, and this is being picky; because the standard of everything else was so high the storage of boxes and brushes in the corners of public areas and behind plants was slightly irritating and incongrious.
It is highly priced but the refurbishment of the riad to this standard must have cost a small fortune. We would like to go back; it would be great to take all six rooms with a large group.
