“One of the best parts of my Moroccan adventure”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 February 2012

My four-night stay at Dar Dialkoum was far and away one of the highlights of my entire trip to Morocco. Not only was it a comfortable and calming home away from home but more importantly, Laurent, Muriel and their staff were incredible hosts who were more than happy to provide suggestions/recommendations, a conversation, or even a birthday celebration.
The riad was gorgeous--large and airy with a stunning rooftop terrace with expansive views of the entire city. Situated in a great neighborhood that represents the true Marrakesh everyday life, it was really a wonderful spot to return to each night after exploring. The rooms were comfortable and lovely with rose petals scattered on the bed to greet you and the bathroom was great. I can't describe the smell of the soap but I will forever wish that I had that perfume every day!
Thank you to Dar Dialkoum for making Marrakesh a wonderful experience for me!

“Relaxing and comfortable - a bargain”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 January 2012

Riad Dar Dialkoum is a fantastic bargain. The welcome was friendly and we were given lots of recommendations and advice by the owners, always seemed available if you needed something extra - although the staff are lovely and extremely helpful. We stayed in one of their smaller rooms, Hannah, but it was beautifully decorated and plenty big enough, especially since there are so many other little rooms and terraces for guests use.

The breakfast is sizeable and kept us going most of the day. We mostly ate it on the rooftop terrace overlooking the city, mosques and mountains.

The Riad had arranged a pickup from the airport for us and this went without a hitch.

If you want to stay within the Medina (which we highly recommend - it feels like part of the point of visiting Marrakech!), then this Riad is well situated. It is in a quieter part to the west of the main square, but we found that we could walk to the main square in about 15 mins along the main routes (very easy and little chance of getting lost). The Riad is located only a minute or so walk from the city wall and a famous gate, and is crucially only 3 turnings from it. You can also walk to the square through the souks, which is a fantastic experience. We felt very safe throughout our trip to Marrakech.

Room Tip: We stayed in one of the smaller, cheaper rooms - Hannah - but it was still plenty big enough

“A feeling of being at home in the Marrakesh medina”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 20 January 2012

Riad Dar Dialkoum exceeded our expectations, from the friendly and helpful contact prior to arrival, to the warm reception and gracious service throughout our stay. The owners both spent time with us, providing insight into the area and life in Marrakesh as well as giving us good tips for getting the most out of our visit. We were upgraded into a beautiful suite which was perfectly decorated and comfortable. The Riad has a homely feeling with multiple places to relax, books to browse, a tv to watch if you must and a lovely courtyard dining area for dinner and breakfast and a swim if you wish.

We took up the offer of dinner on our arrival and it was very nicely presented and tasty. Breakfast was an expanded 'continental' style which was perfect to set us up for exploring this fascinating city.

We will definitely return to Marrakesh and hope there will be room for us at this Riad on our return.

“The BEST place we stayed during our trip”

We stayed at three different Riads while we were in Marrakech. By far, our
favorite was Dar Dialkoum. Muriel and Laurent are incredibly helpful, lovely and accomodating people. Their Riad is beautiful, affordable and simply a delight. The breakfast was such a perfect way to start the day - so fresh and delicious - we loved eating it while in the courtyard or terrace. Their staff is lovely and I really cannot say enough about how much we enjoyed our stay here. They assist you with any questions you might have, are extemely helpful with directions and explaining facts about where to go in the city and can book you on day trips or appointments with a spa. I went to the spa at Riad D'Airain, which they advertise in their info. booklet - they made my appointment for me and I got
an incredible, relaxing treatment. The dinner at Dar Dialkoum was prepared by an
amazing traditional Moroccan cook in house - everything was fresh and
delicious, and the wine was fantastic, too. Stay here - you will not regret it!

“Wonderful haven”

This just re-iterates what previous travellers have said. The riad is beautifully renovated and clean. We had the Soraya room. It is exactly as in the pictures. Breakfast is a joy, sitting in their courtyard. Location is perfect, away from the touts and bustle of the busier areas. It is walking distance to the medina and souks, el-Fna, Ben Youssef Medersa and Jardin Marjorelle. We were reluctant to leave! Owners Muriel and Laurent were always warm and friendly. Special thank you too to Amina who worked so hard and yet was always ready with a beautiful smile!
