“Perfect”

I can be a tricky person to please - picky about aesthetics particularly - which is why my husband looked at around 400 Riads on-line before booking this one. Having got back yesterday after a 4 night stay at Riad Clementine, I now find myself writing a five star review for the first time ever. It was just the most perfect holiday. The owners Angela and Antoine have created a wonderfully serene, beautiful place to stay where you are waited on hand and foot by their ever-willing, smiling staff. I swam in their heated pool for 30 minutes every day (trying to combat all the delicious food I was eating there) with blue skies overhead, birds flitting about in the orange trees and the sound of children playing on the street outside. If you want somewhere beautiful, friendly and stylish in the medina to kick back and relax in, this is it. Nothing is too much trouble. Can't wait to go back.

Room Tip: Our room was Room 6 and we loved it. We had a fire in there while eating our supper.

“Sweeter than citrus”

Angela was perfect long before we arrived sending a driver to pick us up and guide us through the dynamic maze of the Medina. Our room on the second floor was beside the small pool and through the ancient wrought iron frames of our window we could see the oasis of the intimate courtyard sprinkled with clememtines in pots and stylish furniture. In the centre a fountain melodically cools the environs. Our room was elegant and simple, lovely linen, beautiful sunken bath, linen robes and peace. Dinner and breakfast were served graciously and with finesse and the food was tasty, generous in proportion and delicious. Nothing was too much trouble from advice, to change, to drivers. We dealt with her in person and our price was very reasonable. If you are staying ask for room 6 or 7 and remember to watch the sunrise over the Medina from the rooftop garden. This riad was truly beautiful in every aspect of our stay and if you are desirous of enjoying the Medina with everything close and crazy then Riad Clementine offers an oasis in the hurly burly of Marrakech's walled city.

“One of the best places I've ever stayed”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 November 2011

We stayed at Clementine at the end of October and from the minute we arrived everything was perfect.

We were greeted by the charming owner Antoine and his staff who were all delightful. We were immediately given a lovely cold beer and seated in the calm and beauty of the Riad where the Antoine gave us all the information we needed to survive in the craziness of the Medina - this included marked maps and even change so we didn't have to pull out large notes in front of eager shop keepers in the souks.

The place itself is stunning and you can see all the love and attention to detail that has been put into creating and maintaining Clementine. On our last day our flight was not until the evening and we were told that we were welcome to keep the room for the entire day without any additional charge - this made the world of difference. We swam in the pool and relaxed not even wanting to leave the Riad to explore as the stay itself is an incredible experience.

We were very sad to leave as we were waved off by Antoine and his lovely family - but we'll be back!

“Very nice”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 24 October 2011

My fiance and I stayed at the Riad Clemetine at the beginning of September. The riad is beautiful, a nice, cozy place to land after the craziness of the medina. We arrived jet lagged and our room wasn't early. The staff was kind, and though we didn't speak Arabic, they communicated that they had a room for us to nap in, we much to our surprise slept 5 hours coming from the states....food is wonderful here. We enjoyed both breakfast and dinner.
The rooms are very pretty, at the bathrooms are gorgeous. The pool is perfect at the end of the day!

Room Tip: When you stay upstairs where the pool is, you feel like it is your own terrace.
