Truly, if you want to be treated well, learn to speak a few words of French or even better, Arabic. This is not London. A reviewer complained about the call to prayers at 5am. So what? This is a Muslim country. The staff were extremely pleasant and helpful from the waiters to the receptionists to the porters. We appeared on the patio one afternoon and the waiter just brought us our normal coffee without even being asked – that’s service. The food was excellent. Breakfast was ample and varied. Dinner was good and served with excellent Moroccan wine, all accompanied by a very enthusiastic pianist. We found that the staff couldn’t do enough for us.
One reviewer complained about no tea and coffee making facilities in the rooms. Why would they have? This is a good hotel – phone room service. Another reviewer said he did his normal test of asking for two poached eggs (not pouched by the way). Why would you do this?
It’s not far out of Central Medina and a taxi was only 30DH – less than £2. It’s also a lovely walk – if you don’t mind scooters everywhere (now they were scary!)
This is not an expensive hotel – (got stay at the Dorchester and compare the price).
This is a very good hotel – thank you to all the staff for making this a memorable stay in a fantastic city.
Room Tip: Ask for one overlooking the pool.
