“Rooms are just average”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 February 2012

Stayed one night, hotel paid by the airline due to a cancelled flight.
The building entrance is huge and impressing, the rooms and food were however just average. Bathroom door was broken (could not close properly) and toilet made a screaming sound after flushing - I didn´t expect that at a 5 star hotel.

Stayed in a neat Riad for half the price the night before - that was however much better.

“Pleasant and accomodating”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 January 2012

I liked my stay here. The rooms could use a little updating, but the bathrooms were very nice. We booked a Hamam and it was great. The only thing is the enclosed pool is a coed space, which we were unaware of until we heard male voices. Fortunately, we were clothed appropriately. Great otherwise and easy city access. Super staff. Did not try the food.

“Nice clean hotel”

Was our first trip to marocco and we didn't really know what to expect. The hotel is well located and clean. We had half board and enjoyed the food both breakfast and dinner. Dinner was lovely with piano player. We organised two trips using the hotel excursion suggested company and we were really happy for the friendly driver/ guide Abdul, to drive on those treets with the Chaotic traffic, you need to be a really good driver! Well, definetly will try to come back next year!

“Staff friendly, decent 4 star property. Poor food.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 17 January 2012

Location is 7 min walk from the main train station. Taxis are so cheap so easy to get one to the old town. Half decent nightclub next door. Only downside is that beers are £4, but i guess thats normal in all hotels there. We walked to the supermarket which was 15 mins away past the station. Food in the morning was nice but the dinner for half board was average at best. Rooms were large and clean though, just a bit of wear and tear so 4 star. Id give it 3.5/5

“A fantastic hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 January 2012

Truly, if you want to be treated well, learn to speak a few words of French or even better, Arabic. This is not London. A reviewer complained about the call to prayers at 5am. So what? This is a Muslim country. The staff were extremely pleasant and helpful from the waiters to the receptionists to the porters. We appeared on the patio one afternoon and the waiter just brought us our normal coffee without even being asked – that’s service. The food was excellent. Breakfast was ample and varied. Dinner was good and served with excellent Moroccan wine, all accompanied by a very enthusiastic pianist. We found that the staff couldn’t do enough for us.
One reviewer complained about no tea and coffee making facilities in the rooms. Why would they have? This is a good hotel – phone room service. Another reviewer said he did his normal test of asking for two poached eggs (not pouched by the way). Why would you do this?
It’s not far out of Central Medina and a taxi was only 30DH – less than £2. It’s also a lovely walk – if you don’t mind scooters everywhere (now they were scary!)
This is not an expensive hotel – (got stay at the Dorchester and compare the price).
This is a very good hotel – thank you to all the staff for making this a memorable stay in a fantastic city.

Room Tip: Ask for one overlooking the pool.
