“potential bomb site”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 20 January 2012

We went all inclusive, guess what, NO food, NO drink, Rude staff, miles from town. Staff were just sat playing cards & smoking, their uniforms were dirty, they refused to help anyone. Birds were in the cafe area & yes muck everywhere. Coffee from 2 very dirty machines, if working. We were told to go in a Taxi to town some 20 minutes away to get beer if we wanted a drink. This place obviously was,nt bombed in the 2nd world war but should be. The management are Moroccan mafia & don,t care. There friends were prominent in the so called resort. A black family from London were told to leave because they complained, we dont know what happened to them, reps refused to attend the resort. We are claiming a full refund.

Room Tip: Ideal site for al qieda training

“Must try harder!!”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 17 January 2012

We had booked the holiday as a Christmas treat and am glad we had the rest but the hotel was of very poor standard and I would seriously doubt if it was pass for 2 star let alone the 4 star advertised. We have listed a few thoughts below good and bad!!

ROOM - The room had shabby decor with paint chipping off, mould all over the bathroom, exposed wires, bed linen stained or torn. The exterior of the room blocks needed a massive overhall as they all looked really run down. The shower was nice and the water always hot. The bed was comfortable.
HOUSE KEEPING - Toilet rolls were in very low supply. Towels were stained and often didn't arrive until much later in the day.
GARDENS AND BUILDINGS - The pathways were very poorly maintained with stepping stones missing or decayed which was very dangerous as most were unlit causing both of us to twist our ankles. Exposed wires, trip hazards, unsafe light bulbs. Poor upkeep of paintwork, tiling, buildings etc
SHOPS - The shops were derelict and very unsightly with hazards such as broken glass
POOL - A definite hazard for children with some very high exposed drops into the deeper parts. Pebble dashed concrete surround looked like it could cause injury. Pool furniture shabby and covers in poor state. Umbrellas rusty and shabby
ACTIVITIES - Majority in French with no translation which meant the English guests did not really join in. Evening entertainment all in French with a little translation but very rarely. The entertainment teams were very good with the children and encouraged them all to join in.
FOOD - A very poor selection of food, often reused the next day. Pretty much the same food each night. Very very limited breakfast items. For two meals dessert was fruit and that was it. I think fussy eaters, children or people with dietary requirements would have really struggled to find suitable dishes. Food often luke warm. Poor presentation. Limited amounts of each item which were not restocked. Crockery often dirty and the majority chipped.
DRINK - A very poor selection of drinks. Beer ran out on second day which was never replaced. Rose wine (no white offered) ran out one evening and one lunch time. Spirits were vodka, rum, gin and whiskey to our knowledge. Spirits had various strengths no matter how much was poured. We strongly suspect the spirits were watered down and in fact and one point I am positive I saw the barman pouring water into one of the bottles. Coke was flat. Juice was highly sugary. Coffee machines were unreliable. Evening drinks served in plastic cups if you did not return your glasses. Again we were served drinks in chipped glassed. Limited wine on offer at meal times.
STAFF - Some staff were friendly and polite but others seemed unenthusiastic most of the time. Staff needed training. At most meal times our settings and drinks were cleared even though we had gone up to get main course or desert and were returning. Reception staff either declared it was not their job or didn't speak English. We got by on our limited French but would have expected in an international hotel for them to have better language skills.
NOISE - We complained that for three nights we did not sleep at all as the people in the room above didn't stop making noise all night - the TV, talking, moving furniture, children running about. The receptionist promised he would do something but it still carried on the next night. He offered to move us but as we only had one night left it wouldn't be worth it.
SUTTLE - This was great as the hotel is about 20 mins outside of town. Be warned that the bus will drop you half way between the old town and the new town so about a 15 min walk either way. Have a good map and you can find things without the guides which charge about £30 a day

We are very sad that this hotel did not meet our expectations. We paid for an All Inclusive holiday in a 4* resort and feel that we have been let down as we certainly didn't get what we paid for. We knew for the price it wouldnt be amazing but we expected more, It felt like the hotel was almost being run down so they could maybe concentrate on others in the group. Other guests commented the same. We felt like it could really only last one more summer in the state it was in.

“you get what you pay for”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 26 November 2011

This Hotel is good value for money depending on what you paid, we paid £100 each for 4 nights all inclusive, so felt we got our moneys worth, however i would have not been so happy if i had paid more than this or if i had gone with my husband (i went with a friend) it is not a romantic place for couples but i think it suited our cheap girly holiday well. Beds were comfy and room was basic and in need of a bit of redocoration but did the job ok. staff were friendly enough and there was never a problem getting a drink from the bar, pool was nice and refreshing to have a dip in the hot sun. The food in the hotel was not the best but i am a fussy eater although i never went hungry. Marrakech is beautiful and i would recommend visiting.

“You get what you pay for!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 November 2011

I'll be as basic as I can:

Rooms nothing special
The actual place is ok and at times very relaxing.
Pool is ok, was very cold.
Food is ok but after 3 days you do get bored of bread, potatoes and Fish - Eat as much bacon and fruit as you can before going to the Kenzi.

Plus Points:

All inclusive is fantastic as much food and drink as you want
Staff are helpful
Lots of places to just sit and relax
No one pesters you.
Sports are good.
Bad Points:

To many kids and they own the place. The parents just let them run around. You go and play table tennis and then a few seconds later they are there next to you wanting to play...Very annoying.
Lots and lots of flies and wasps.
Shower had no power and one roll of toilet paper!!
the Bed was an old door (really it was) with a soft mattress on top.
NO BEER!!!!!! So all we could drink at night was Rum and Coke
The club is pants on the saturday night some local lads (17-18) came and had a few rum and cokes and made a bit of noise and the whole place closed down meaning we had to all basically go to our rooms, which for us was really disapointing as it was our last night and we wanted to get drunk. The staff were to weak.
Everything seems to have sugar on it?
group of 4 of us and they put us in rooms that were far apart? Would have been better to put us in rooms next to eachother and there were free rooms next to ours???

I WOULDN'T COME HERE IF YOUR WITH YOUR PARTNER!!! She will probably leave you if this is your idea of a holiday. It is best to come here with mates as you can drink, sun it, swim and just do nothing.

It may be 4 star but that is 4 star Morocco not Britian (it probably is about 2 star in British ratings)

We went to Marrakech for the day................We were not ready for it it was an eye opener.

The hotel is actually about 40 minutes from the Airport and the cab driver will want about 350 Dirhams.

Don't forget you can only change your money up in morocco and the same on the way out.

Room Tip: They choose it for you. You have no choice. We expected to get a room with a balcony but got one w...
