“A week at Les Jardins de la Koutoubia, February 2012”

An excellent hotel in a perfect place, just 100 metres from "The Square" Jemaa El Fna - this is the place to be morning, noon and night, so bussy, exciting and entertaining.
Hotel staff were exceptional, food great (especially breakfast) and our room (one of the cheapest) was massive. Overlooking the medina garden from our balcony which comfortably held a four piece suite of sofas/chairs.

As you approach the hotel down the narrow, congested road, full of stalls, people, donkey carts and badly parked cars, don't be put off - you step through the doors and into a top class hotel.

Unheated giant pool at ground level but good for sunbathing and the heated rooftop pool is where you can enjoy a swim even if it is cool, as it was last week.

We had an amazing week and so glad we were smack in the centre of the old town, rather than miles away in the "new" hotel tourist area.

Room Tip: We were on First Floor overlooking medina garden, a low cost room. Overlooking the G F pool cost mor...

“Oasis of tranquility”

Everything about this hotel oozes calm efficiency and discreet service. The location, a 5 minute walk from the Djemma el fna is ideal, you can delve into the chaos of the square and the souks and then retreat back to the calm of the hotel.
Breakfast was superb, with a large choice and fresh eggs and omelets on offer amongst the ususal fare of pastries and cereals, We ate at two of the hotels restuarants, the Relais de Paris and the Jardins de la Bala, and again both were excellent.
There is also a Piano bar in the hotel serving alcoholic drinks, the pianist and his repertoire may not be to everyones taste, but we found it to be a relaxing way to round off the day.
All in all I will definitely be returning to this hotel, in'shallah.

“January in Marrakech”

We arrived at lunchtime and were greeted by hotel staff and poured a glass of mint tea. Unfortunately our room was not ready for half an hour so we relaxed for a while.
Room was lovely rose petals everywhere !!(only on the first day). Everything you needed including an easily operated safe!
The setting was lovely we overlooked the main pool and the sun decks and heated pool on the roof was great.
There are 3 restaurants we ate in each of them over the 3 nights we stayed. Food OK not a great choice and would get bored if we had stayed longer - perhaps the menus are extended in busier times. The French restaurant was a let down in terms of service, they forgot our starter altogether and when reminded delivered it with the main!
Breakfast was great and the hotel staff were excellant.

The hotel is slap bang in the middle of things so be prepared to be jumped on the minute you set foot onto the street. If its your first trip do your homework and try and get an idea of prices especially trips etc from the hotel staff who were very good in that respect.

Room Tip: We did book a Medina facing room but got one overlooking the pool which was actually better.

“Amazing place & great food”

We pre-booked for a meal in their Moroccan Restaurant and it was amazing. doesnt look much from the outside, but inside it's like an Arabian palace - red velvet, gold lighting, absolutely beautiful. We had cocktails in the piano bar first (good prices and fab service). The meal was fantastic, with live music and belly dancer. Well worth a visit. 5* hotel, 3 course meal with wine was approx £30pp. Couldn't rate it enough. Great end to the holiday.

“Ideally situated hotel with just what you need to enjoy your trip.”

Hotel is 5 Star just off the main square - just like an oasis a stones thorow away from the noisy, crowded, 'smelly' Jamaa El Fna. We were given a suite overlooking the pool area in the middle despite having made an online reservation for double room medina view. The sun terrace on the top is ideal to relax after a busy day and if you dont want to go out to eat, the restaurants are excellent, both the quality of the food and the atmosphere. After a couple of days visiting the sights around time we spend the third afternoon in the Spa relaxing, a worthwhile experience!!

Room Tip: A room overlooking the pool is ideal, we got one without paying extra for it, and it is nice to wake...
