This is a very quiet, peaceful place some way outside town and is ideal if you want to be away from the hustle of the streets and markets. However the taxi fares can be a significant expense if you want to shop and sightsee every day, and frankly I would not recommend this hotel if this is your first visit to Marrakesh. If you want a relaxing break without the crowds then consider this hotel. We shared our stay with 3 golfing couples who were out all day so had the place to ourselves. The hotel is somewhat isolated in the Palmerie but we didn't mind as we were there to take the sun and chill by the pool. The service was faultless; friendly helpful staff (often not the case on Morocco); the food was very good, and we had massages by the pool. The hotel has a roof terrace with great views of the Atlas mountains; really lovely to have tea up there in the mornings or a drink at sunset. At night there are log burners put out to keep you warm at supper (essential in the cooler months). The rooms are very comfortable with great bathrooms, but can feel a little dark when its not the height of summer. I very much enjoyed the 5 days we spent there, but I don't think I would go back.
