Stayed there at a recent conference held at the Palais des Congres.
The hotel itself is a sprawling complex with a nice swimming pool, lots of fountains and water features, fruit trees (oranges were ripening) and greenery. The layout is not handicap friendly with no ramps - so people with such problems should try to get a room either at the main building or close by.
Maintenance was poor. The carpets were old, worn and dirty. In fact, the whole place needs to be renovated - including the rooms. Our bedroom was a good size, but the mattresses were saggy. There were insufficient pillows and hangars in the cupboard as well, and the shower/faucet selector in the bath was broken. Cleanliness of the bathroom and toilet could have been better as well.
Breakfast was included and the spread was good. During my stay, the coffee machine at breakfast could not produce a decent cup of coffee though! There are additionally 2 restaurants - avoid the Italian one if our experience was anything to go by. There are plenty of cheap and good places in the Medina.(This hotel is quite a distance from the Medina and tourist attractions - but a short taxi ride should get you there within 10 minutes. There are plenty of such taxis upfront but do beware - if your are a foreigner, they refuse to meter and haggling for a price is routine with the hotel not helping.)
If travelling for leisure, I would stay in a Riad in the Medina next time - much more cozy and cheaper than what I paid here for an apparently 5 star hotel.
