“A complete dump - stay away. Clothing stolen.”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 November 2009

It's downhill from the lobby on. Rooms are dirty and the paint chipped. Window was broken. Bath was filthy. Laid out like a concentration camp. Our coat was stolen in the breakfast room while we were getting our breakfast! Very rude and unhelpful management when we reported it. Kept us waiting for hours to attend to us. Finally, when we checked out they charged us a higher rate than I had booked. When I told the front desk they were wrong the lady who was handling the stolen coat issue with my wife came over and not knowing anything about the rate insisited that they were charging the correct rate. I was already so upset I paid and left. At my next hotel I checked my reservations and called them back with the reservation details. They admited their mistake and refunded the difference. All the woman could say was "I was wrong, what do you want me to say" wasted my time and ruined my day. Why did she have to interfere with the rate when she didn't know anything about it. Stay away.

“Great deal”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 October 2008

After reading all the reiews i admit I was regretting booking this holiday.
My mum and I went for 5 days but it was fab. The food was good and plentiful, the rooms basic but clean and we were not in for long. the shower was fantastic.
Lots of activities and the staff are helpful and polite. there are alot of french, but to be honest it was nice to switch of from england and have a nice break.
enjoy!

“stay away!!!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 18 June 2008
1
person found this review helpful

my wife and i stayed in this hotel for 10 days in june 2008 in an all inclusive formula. we have already visited many different countries/hotels and frankly this was the WORST experience so far!!!
the hotel is totally worn out!
starting with the room: very very dirty (the bed sheets didn't got changed in 8 days!, the warm water had a brown colour, the room had many other guests besides us 2 namely ants, flies, grasshoppers, beetle, a cockroach, ..., the wood of the door and windows was completely rotten!!!, the bathtub was painted and the paint itself was already going away...
it was not only our room that was in this condition because we heard many other guests complain and change the room!
the restaurant was the worst one ever: there were many small birds flying inside the restaurant and you can imagine the result: they ate of the food (from the baskets and the tables), there was bird [--] everywhere, they had even build nests inside the big lamp on the wall!!! there were signs of water dammage (fungus)
the food itself was also terrible: everyday cabbage, ok maybe we are not fond of marrocan food but that was really really not good (we survived the 10 days on pasta and French fries), everyday was almost the same to eat no variation, the day after were the recycled leftovers from the day before :-(
they also had late breakfast (from 10-12) but that were also the leftovers from the normal breakfast - if you were lucky you would have a croissant!
there were little flies in the wine- and water tank - the soda machine leaked
the bar had a limited choice of cheap local drinks and warm soda's (they didn't but the bottles in the fridge) if you wanted something cold you had to pay!!!
the snacks in the afternoon were a laugh: 1/4 of a pancake, a small piece of french bread with tuna or chicken and again warm drinks!!!
and if you are brain dead and like to be threated as a kid the animation is top from morning to evening!!!
1 thing must be said: the staff did there best and was very friendly - management sucked big time!!!
so in short: STAY AWAY!!! AND SPEND YOUR WELL EARNED MONEY SOME PLACE ELSE!!!

“Do not stay here”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 January 2008

We stayed in this hotel for one night only, thank goodness! Do not stay here unless you are French. The staff either cannot or will not speak English. We arrived at 1 in the afternoon and could not get anything to eat until 5 that night! No room service, no restaurant or snack bar open. The rooms are below average, very tired and basic. There is no television in the rooms and no other form of communication. I wanted to have a shower in the evening but there was not hot water until the following morning. This hotel is part of the Accor chain. We have stayed in other Accor chain hotels, both in Morroco and other countries and always been very happy with them. This hotel is also part of the Accor chain and is really letting down the name. I wish I had read other reviews before booking it. It is overpriced and over-rated

“A French Butlins”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 January 2008

We were booking in a hurry and forgot to check Trip Advisor first.. lesson learned - don't believe the Expedia ratings! (It was listed as 4 star but is actually 3 star) Positives first - the food was nicely done and very plentiful (we were full board) and the gardens were pleasant. Only go however if you are crazy about hanging out with French Butlins holiday types who shamble around in inappropriate sportswear and enjoy pounding dance music by the pool whilst playing musical chairs or suchlike.

Hotel itself sorely needs money spent on it as everything is looking seriously tired - cracked concrete paths, dire bathrooms and room decor straight out of the Moroccan 1970's.

Fortunately I can make myself understood in French as otherwise it would have been seriously difficult. Also no-one else has underlined just how far out from the centre of town you are - the 100 dirham taxi ride takes a while and you get to see beggars relieving themselves in the streets etc on the way there..

My advice - either go properly out of town to a decent hotel like Caranvanserai (?splng) or do a half & half trip and stay in a riad for some of the time. Coralia was so grim that we stayed at Riads Dar Les Cigognes & Assala during the stay. Both were very nice in their different ways.
