“Brazilian/Canadian at the Riad Slawi”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 24 January 2012

- I can write a book regarding my experience on this Riad. On the book I can mention how friendly Adam(Manager), Mustafa(Adam's father),Zakia(The wonderfull cook), the taxi driver, the guides I had on my trip to the High Atlas and Sahara desert, are.I can mention in the book how easy is to blend with the locals. I can write how wonderfull people they are. And, at the end of the book, I can mention we can stay at fancy hotels anywhere, however, I cannot beleive they can give to you the most natural, from the heart, passionate treatment I received from the people I mention above. Mazeltov and Inshalah Adam, Mustafa and Zakia.

“Riad Slawi”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 January 2012

My wife and I stayed here and it was the most chilled holiday I have ever had. Adam was away at the time of our stay so were were looked after by Mustapha. Having arrived in the afternoon we were too late to order an evening meal however Mustapha sent someone out to get some fresh food which he then cooked and produced this fantastic banquet, I mean it was huge! The Riad was spotless and nothing was too much effort for Mustapha who drew us maps, organised trips anything we asked about he supplied. Fantastic.

“Riad Slawi has it all!”

My wife and I stayed at Riad Slawi for five nights. It was our first time in Morocco (but definitely not our last). We don't usually write reviews, but this is one property that is definitely worth reviewing. Here's what we have to say about Adam and his wonderful riad:

The Riad: it is beautifully decorated in a Moroccan style. The entire property is very clean and well taken care of. We loved our room! It was spacious, had a very comfortable bed, and nice seating area for relaxation after a day of walking. The bathroom was beautiful, large and the shower had great water pressure and temperature. We were travelling throughout Europe and North Africa for three months, and simply put, this was the nicest place we stayed at during our entire trip!!

The Food: WOW!!! Moroccan breakfasts are divine! Adam definitely has high standards and serves quality food. From the fresh bread to the Moroccan pancakes, jams, yogurt, and frest mint tea, we were well-fed and looked forward to the breakfasts every morning (most importantly, the coffee was excellent). We also opted to have Adam and his staff prepare a dinner for us at the Riad (foraging for food every night can become tiring). The meal was outstanding! It was the best chicken I have eaten in a long while - juicy, flavourful, and plentiful. Best meal in Morocco!

The Location: It is well-situated, a 5 min walk from a taxi drop-off. Short cab ride from the train station to the riad. Also a short walk to the main square and the shopping area. Be sure to get Adam's hand-drawn map (Marrakesh can be a bit confusing to navigate, especially for Westerners...but this is part of the experience and charm).

Lastly, what makes the Riad Slawi truly outstanding is the hospitality and customer service provided by the manager. Adam is a wonderful individual who will make you feel like you are at home and always has a smile on his face. We felt like we were staying with friends and always looked forward to returning to the riad after a day of sightseeing.

We highly recommend the Riad Slawi and cannot wait to return to Marrakesh and stay at Adam's place again (in sha'a allah).

“Awesome Place to stay!! Would go back in an instant.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 January 2012

My friends and I stayed here in September of 2011 and it was phenomenal. So much that this is the first time I am contributing here because I want to share my experience. The riad was stunning in a magical part of the city. Adam the owner is beyond helpful, he truly cares about the people that stay there and he is so helpful in making your time there the best. It is clean, and the decor is something out of a fantasy land. Whatever your travel purpose is, the Riad Slawi will surpass all your expectations.
