I have just returned from a long weekend at the dar ilham. Had a great time, partly thanks to the Dar Ilham, very capably managed by Ali. The major positives for me were 1) value: in my opinion very reasonably priced.. breakfast included, drinks/snacks not too bad. 2) Only ate dinner once, food very good. 3) They allowed a very late check out due to our late flight + use of the pool etc 4) Ali, the manager was very accomadating, pleased to help us out with all of our requests/taxis etc. 5) Nice rooms 4* standard and pool very good.
My only slight negative to be honest is that some of the waitressing staff walk very slowly which can be a bit frustrating when you are thirsty. Also one of the girls at reception was rude to us on occasion.
Location was a slight issue, however its not too bad. Couple of travel tips... check out nikki beach, don't wear sun cream, go to SO nightclub every night.

Our trip to Marrakesh wouldn't been as good as it was, if we would had chosen other hotel. We Travel with 2 little children (8 months old and 3 years and a half old). The pool was fantastic (tempered),the kitchen delicious, the staff so friendly and helpful and the place really beautiful and relaxing. A little bit far from la Medina, but in our case it was a positive point with the children.

We had a late flight , coming from Amsterdam , we rent a car at the airport as we were travelling to the south for two weeks . I know Marrakech very well !
Dar Ilham in the palmeraie seemed a beter option to avoid driving problems/irritations.
It was a terrible mistake , my own mistake I would say .The staff from Dar Ilham kindly offered me an airport pick up and I refused , please ask for pick up if you arrive late/by dark..The hotel is difficult to find no signs ,, not very close to the city , and the traffic is awfull by night . Don t drive by night in Marrokko .

Upon arrival we were impressed by the warm welcome from the staff . Amazing , superb staff offering the best service you would dream of , always attent to your needs , always that lovely smile ,I never had a bad encounter.
The staff is really the best of the Dar Ilham ! I give my compliments to the manager for his team.
TOP services ,from the cleanless of the lovely suite , to the great service in the restaurant , reception.
Food is excellent , prices are on a european level. Small wine card but goed value .
You can have dinner in the berber tent by the pool ,breakfast as wel .
Don t expect a good cup of coffee at breakfast , it is like french coffee not warm en strong enough , this is the only minor point .The breakfast , served at the table , was vey good ,the best part being the delicious pancakes.
Nice surroudings , wel kept ,Kasbah and Riad are wel decorated , in an oriental morroccan style , 11 rooms/suites in the Kasbah and just 4 in the Riad , they are set in a nice garden , with two lovely ,heated , pools .. Very cosy , intiem atmosphere , an oase in Marrakech ! I must say I never managed to sleep in Marrakech , quite impossible in the riads in de medina.To much noise the all night. The Dar Ilham is a very good choice .

Really is an Oriental Moroccan style, the service was impeccable, the garden are gorgeous, beautiful pools. Of course, one should not expect an intimate romantic Riad in the medina, with much more space restraints.
It is true that it's a bit far, but there is a free shuttle that goes to center everyday... The restoration was excellent, we tried all the possibilities a little place, with a clear preference for breakfasts and lunches, very good leader, and the view of the pool, garden and the Atlas Mountains, serenely beautiful.
A strongly advise golfers like us.
