“Perfect Holiday Experience in the Perfect Location!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 28 July 2010

We stayed at the Riad El Nour for one week in July 2010. It was the first time to Morocco for the both of us and we couldn't have picked a better place to stay. From the moment we stepped in the door we were welcomed with an extensive and bespoke brief about the many wonderful things Marrakech has to offer. The riad itself was beautiful, fantastically clean and comfortable and querkily, individualisticaly, unlike anywhere we have ever stayed before. It was also incredible value for money. The dinner we had in the adjacent Riad Karmela (under same ownership) was delicious and the setting just as beautiful. The breakfast that was also served here was very good too. The rooftop terrace was the perfect place to sunbathe, read and relax, and the dip pool was wonderful to cool off in.
The taxi from the airport provided by the Riad is much recommended, the driver was lovely and very helpful. The staff were all friendly, polite and extremely accommodating. The room was kept very clean daily with a fresh bottle of much needed water every morning, clean towels and the rooftop terrace kept tidy with towels and shade provided.
We took on board much of the advice given to us by the Riad owners and found it to be spot on. We would thoroughly recommend dining at both La Tanjia restaurant and Le Fondouk whilst in Marrakech if anyone gets the chance!
Should anyone be planning a trip to Marrakech anytime soon we would be only too happy to recommend to them the Riad El Nour or Riad Karmela for a perfect trip!

Clean rooms, great staff. We are a gay couple and we were made to feel very welcome.
Location is spot on, just 10 mins from the main square. Would definitely recommend.
Marrakech itself is quite expensive and you need to look around to find decent restaurents - don't come here expecting it to be dirt cheap.
Usual precautions needed when in places like this, but you don't get hassled anywhere near as much as places such as Egypt or Tunisia which is good.

“Great place. Great people. Thoroughly recommended.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 25 May 2010

I was in town for barely 3 days with 6 of my friends. The riad was exactly what we were looking for in terms of location (easy walking distance to the soukhs) and accommodation standard (we all slept very comfortably and very much enjoyed all of the riad's amenities). The owners and staff were very helpful, polite and unintrusive and really helped us in making the best of the time we had.

If I go to Kech again in the near future, I would not hesitate to book this riad again w/o even looking at any other alternatives.

“An oasis of tranquility amongst a sea of madness”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 March 2010

I've stayed at many Hotels throughout the world but never have I been treated so politely and with such professionalism. Riad El Nour is absolutely perfect for visiting Marrakech, close to all amenities and very close to El Efna Square. Approaching the Riad you'll wonder where on earth you are going as it is situated down a narrow dark alleyway, typical of Marrakech.Knock on the door of Riad Karmela (sister of El Nour) to 'check-in; it’s almost directly opposite El Nour and you’ll find it opens up into one of the most beautiful interiors I have ever seen. Allow Joel the owner to organise your transport and book your meals with him, you won't regret it. If you do nothing else when visiting Marrakech please stay at Riad El Nour or Riad Karmela.
