“Poor food and unhelpful staff with a great view!”

This hotel is located about 30-40 minutes outside of marrakech, and we visited it during low season. The hotel has a lovely view of the Atlas mountain with a nice pool place. It was a bit cold when we visited it so taking a bath was not an option, but would have been lovely during summer. Furthermore, the view is the only good with this hotel! When we arrived we didnt feel comfortable at all! We were curious about the place and its surroundings and asked the staff questions, which they seemed to be rather irritated over. We ordered something to eat for lunch and it took over one hour to make a pizza that didnt look finished, and didnt taste good at all. The massage was bad, and we felt that the massage lady was angry at us because we ordered it. Order a hammam in marrakech, it is better. The rooms were satisfying, with enough hotwater for three minutes (not ten as it was written) but with an annoying plumber sound! Dont visite during winter, because the rooms are freezing, and poorly insolated. So all in all, if you want a nice view and quite surroundings with boring food and unhelpful staff this is your place. We would rather recommend another place. The driver though was very nice and helpful, so thanks!

“Great place, nice getaway”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 19 January 2012

Fine mock kasbah, new but made to look classic. Very friendly staff, nice facilities, great swimming pool area. The intruding turtles and toads that flock around the pool at night remind you that you are in the middle of Moroccan nature, at the foot of the Atlas range. Food a bit pricey. Good massage service. All in all highly recommendable.

“Peace and relaxation with a $1m dollar view”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 November 2011

We stayed here at the beginning of November. Finding accommodation had been tricky as the couple we were travelling with had slightly different needs to us. This ticked all the boxes, quiet, fantastic view, Moroccan features, pool. Yes the hotel is a long way out of town but if you are looking for a peaceful few days away then this is a gem. There are hotels in the centre that call themselves Atlas View, well here they are right in front of you. Whilst we were there we saw them slowly go from green to snow covered Alpinesque mountains.Probably the best view i have had from the poolside. Staff were great, organised taxis at short notice and even come and got us in the very early morning that we needed one of them. The staff could not do enough to help and even gave an impromtu cooking lesson for us when we asked how they made some of their food, all at no extra cost. Lunch menu, may be in French but is varied, more than a dozen options, and whilst in French most names are easily recognisable (pizza, cheeseburger etc). Now the evening meal was a set menu, some might not like this, but this is a small hotel and costs need to be considered. In saying that the food was trraditional Moroccan, tajines most nights and was full of flavour. However, i did see the staff prepare seperate food for some of the guests, so again the customer service shines through. Moroccan designed rooms, small windows ro keep the rooms cool in the summer but there is air coolers/heaters in the rooms to take the chill off the night air in November. So if you want good Moroccan food, some peace, a good poolside area to relax, a killer view and staff that could not do enough to help then don't let the distaqnce from the centre of the town put you off, the hotel offers a shuttle service just sit back and enjoy the ride in to town

“Fantastic small hotel”

My sister & I have just returned from a 6 day stay at this lovely little hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The food was wonderful. The suite (Mayla) and pool were clean and a pleasure to use. The complimentary shuttle into Marrakech was a bonus. When we explained that a full day in the heat was a bit too much, they even offered to arrange half days for us. Taxi pick up and take to the airport was booked too for us. Seriously nothing was too much trouble. The staff speak french, which offered some boundaries, but my school french coped. Maybe the menus and excursions could be translated to english to assist, but Yasmin the manager has a very good knowledge of english. It is a distance from the city - 30 mins, but that means it is very peaceful. If you are looking for a busy city break, this isn't for you, but if you are looking for an oasis to base yourself at, then book! A quiet r'n'r, a romantic break ... i definitely will be going back

“We will come back!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 21 June 2011

This hotel has beautiful surroundings, It is located outside the city in a quiet and relaxing place. Staff was very friendly and would help us with anything we needed. They came to pick us up when we arrived marrakech and took us to the airport when we left. They also drived us in to the city when we wanted and picked us up to go home. They helped us to arrange exscursions. The room was cleaned every day and we got towels for the pool whenever we wanted.Breakfast was good, as was the dinner.

The hotel gets our best recommendations. Unless you prefer staying in the middle of the city, it is a very good selection.
