Our group of 10 motorcyclists stayed here for one night. The 10 bikes were parked nearby in a supervised basement car park - no problem.
There is nothing to see on the outside of the Riad and even the nameplate is small and easily missed.
However, once inside the place is amazing, you now know you are in a different culture - a centre courtyard with comfortable seating, a high sliding roof and three floors of very ornate inward facing balconies. Lovely view from the rooftop. Every room was unique. Staff were very helpful and friendly and the breakfast was good too.
The staff arranged a guide for us for a 3 hour morning trip. Getting a guide is definitely recommended. Fes is a really fascinating place (sights, sounds and especially smells) and with a guide you see the best places (much more interesting than Marrakech) in a short time and without getting pestered in the street.
Tannery has to be the worst job in the world and you will be lucky to leave Fes without a leather belt or a carpet.
