The interior, with its thoughtful and painstaking restoration, is breathtaking, almost like staying in a museum; and the terrace on the roof, with its stunning 360 degree view, is a great place to chill out and watch the sun set while the muezzin calls the faithful to prayer after a day exploring the medieval labyrinths of the medina. Our room was really more like a suite, great design and with good quality bedding and linen; very comfortable. The owners and the staff are all amazingly friendly and hospitable and really do make you feel at home; we came away feeling like we´d been staying with friends. They organise very reasonably priced guides for half or full day walking tours around the medina; the half day we took helped us a lot to get our bearings and the guide himself was a walking history book.Traditional Moroccan breakfasts are outstanding and are included in the room rate. Make sure you have dinner at least one night; ours was excellent: fresh pea soup, vegetable meze, kofta tagine with perfectly spiced rice and a wonderfully gooey carrot confection for dessert.
