I stayed two nights and held a meeting at the Ibis Moussafir while working in Fez and Touanate. The hotel is standard international/European style, with a decent restaurant, cafe and pretty pool and garden area. The rooms are small and sparse, with some recently renovated. One of my colleagues and I were first given rooms on the third floor that reeked of cigarette smoke. We asked to be changed to different rooms (the mention of 'non-smoking' rooms was met with puzzlement). We were moved to second floor rooms that were so recently renovated that my colleague's room smelled very strongly of paint.
I had one serious complaint, which I addressed to the management. Although my colleague and I changed rooms, the reception did not change this information in the computer system. The night receptionist assigned my room (electronic keycard) to another guest, so at midnight I was woken up to the sound of a man entering my room. I woke up to the noise and managed to shove the door closed on him while yelling the room was occupied. I called the reception as soon as I could hear him leave (apologizing) to make sure they didn't send him to my colleague's room either. I didn't sleep much the rest of the night. On check-out I was given only 10% off my room, although my stay included rooms for myself and two colleagues as well as conference room rental plus all our meals. This is REALLY substandard service from an international hotel chain.
So, the hotel is fine if unremarkable, but the lack of attention to security and the poor customer service mean I'm unlikely to stay there again.
