“Continued great place to stay in Casablanca for the price”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 January 2012

I have stayed here many times and last reviewed the hotel in 2010. I have been here for a week now on business, and wanted to update my last review. I still find the hotel quite nice for the price paid. I have learned that most of the time in Morocco (and I have lived here now for eight years) you need to deduct a star from what is advertised.
This hotel is clean and well located. It has good service, underground parking, and a nice indoor pool on the third floor. Room service is, as in all the hotels in Morocco, over priced. The menu here is limited and the food is adequate at best. I would comment that the breakfast chef cooks his eggs better than any other hotel in Morocco (and believe me I have had eggs in most of them). They are always cooked exactly as ordered and not overcooked and brown as is often the case in Morocco.
The room is well lit and comfortable. The bed a little hard and the pillows barely acceptable (unless you like them also hard). The small flat screen TV is mounted on the wall and is about the minimum size you would want in a hotel.
Maid service is good and the room was always well cleaned. A small tip to the maid is always appreciated.
There are some good value hotels in downtown Casablanca, and this is one of them.

Room Tip: I like a room higher up in the hotel and I always ask for one large bed rather than two small ones.

“This is not really a 5* hotel”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 25 January 2012

I only stayed here because the Hyatt Regency threw me out because the King and all his mates wanted to stay there. The Tulip is a fairly ok hotel, but the pool is in a weird enclosed greenhouse which makes it look like something from a French garden centre.

“Nice Hotel close to Souq”

I've stayed at Golden Tulip This January 2012 for almost a week during a business trip to Morocco. The hotel is located close to Souq and the mose important thing is being located close to Train Station what helped me for my shuttle trip to Rabat. Souq is not a clean area, dangerous to go out after 8 PM, which kill the evening except if you are looking for other kind of entertainment ;) Clean, with nice stuff helping when needed, Breakfast buffet is almost french (wasn't nice for me) Wireless connection not working after the 3rd floor, a wired connection take place but need to get your (long) cable from the Cocierge.

“Very nice 5* hotel for the price”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 January 2012

I have very little experience with 4/5* hotels honestly, usually travelling via cheaper options, but decided to splash out a little more to stay at the Golden Tulip Farah hotel in Casablanca and was very pleased with what we found. A lot of the surrounding area was undergoing construction work as of our visit due to the ongoing development of the city, but the hotel itself was extremely nice - lovely, comfortable room, very nice breakfast, free cable internet in the room. Staff not as eager to help as I might have liked but otherwise a very pleasant stay.

“Excellent quality/price rate though still a long way to go.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 December 2011

Excellent hotel in many ways, specially taking into account what you pay for it. In almost all aspects, it's a 5*hotel: spa, swimming-pool, parking, jazz bar, piano bar, excellent breakfast, excellent room, excellent bed, clean toilet, calm, decent room service,internet... Drawbacks? It's noisy as hell though its double screen windows due to its location in the heart of a busy rond-point of the city. Internet was not running very efficiently and there's only 2 pc's downstairs. As for the staff, well, this is Morocco? It all looks really good but when you scracth a little, there's nothing behind. Same old stories instead of sharp YES or NO. The computer room technician left "faire des affaires" and we were told he was due back in 20minutes. 2 hours later he still wasn't back. After some thorough investigation, no one had a clue where he was or had been. Thus, it was a useless typical getaway lie to say he was due back in 20 minutes. He wasn't due back. that was the right answer in teh first place. These things can get on your nerves in the long run, but it still doesn't change the fact that it's a very good option for CASABLANCA having tried others.

Room Tip: We stayed twice within a week and were given 2 differnet rooms though identical, except for the view...
