“Plenty of better options!”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 22 January 2012

This place is seriously run down! The patio door to our room was broken, the tv needed retuning, the lights outside the room didn't work (no bulbs), the shower/bath mixer was broken.
We were the only people in the restaurant for dinner, the food was awful.. some tinned meatballs with an egg poached in the sauce.
On the plus side it was clean and the staff do their best in trying circumstances.

“OK for a short stay”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 January 2012

We spend two nights in this hotel, the hotel is situated near the beach and a lot of restaurants, quite far from the center which was food since there was not much traffic. The reception is a old looking style, the receptionist was working on a slow manner, there was free wifi near the reception (only there), the rooks are quite spacious so was the bathroom. The heating was working in our room but not in other ones from the group, but they got a replacement quite fast. The view was OK. The breakfast was very simple. We had dinner which was also standrad.

“Stunning sea views but substandard food and rooms”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 January 2012

We stayed here for three nights in December 11/ Jan 12 and had a lovely view of the Coriniche. The room itself had old furnishings - but it was clean and tidy. The carpets were rather dirty and we were unable to get an additional towel (despite the room being a twin share). We also struggled to get clean water glasses - all of which was exacerbated by the fact that the telephone in the room was not functional. The breakfast was awful - the food on offer was stale and lack variety. It was also presented very poorly. Overall, the staff were helpful and attentive however we did feel particularly hard done by when we were requested to pay 30Dh for a 1 minute phone call to our tour operator!

Room Tip: Sea facing is the only redeeming quality of the hotel.

“Dont believe pictures on internet hotel sites”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 22 November 2011

I am fed up looking at pictures of the best areas in hotels used on the internet and in reality they are no where near what is there. This hotel does not deserve a 2* rating as it is very badly maintained. The reception area looks as though at one stage it might have been nice but today the once nice leather couches are torn and dirty. The lifts in the hotel are at the best adequate and are slow. The corridors are dirty and need upgraded. The conman lounge area looks very nice but dont sit there in the rain as the roof leaks. The overall hotel is in need of a painter to make it look like a well kept property.

The restaurant is very dated and doesn't give the impression you would like to eat there. I have eaten breakfast which could be described as a very basic selection of breads. Better to go and eat outside.

The bedrooms are sufficient and big enough although again they need updated. The doors to the balcony did not seal and when it was windy the room became cold and the noise was like an express train.

There is supposed wireless internet but in 5 days it has been on 2. Better to get a computer internet dongle than rely on what is a very slow and poor system.

The most serious issue is that the staff cant be trusted. Complaints are acknowledged but never dealt with. Even when meeting with the general manager there are promises made and never followed up. The general manager does not have staff respect and when involving him in problems with the staff they show total disrespect and continue ignoring even the easiest problem to solve.

In truth the hotel is does not have a good reputation and should be unlisted from travel sites recommending places to see. Why should sites loose their reputation?

Room Tip: use a different hotel

“Spacious and comfortable”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 September 2011

Arrived in a group on a late flight for a 1-night stay. Booked in quickly, and served a perfectly adequate 3-course meal despite being 11pm. Room spacious with good aircon; Basic decor but two comfortable double beds in the room. Despite previous comments, the breakfast was normal 'full' continental self-service and set us up for the day. Although the hotel itself is fairly plain, there is a delightful atrium in the centre with comfortable chairs and tiled fountain.

Room Tip: Rooms at the front have a partial sea view, but they are also nearer the traffic noise
