“Not so good service, but good location and good restaurant”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 December 2011

It was still hot start of october, but the swimming pool was already empty - big disappointment.
Anyway the rooms were nice and there was good restaurant, where you can enjoy dinner with traditional Morrocan music. Transportation is good in Casablanca, so it is 10 mins by taxi to city centre and about 30 mins to airport. Hotel is just on the beach, but I found no entrance to the beach, so I even couldn't touch the ocean.

“PROMOTE YOURSELF AND CASABLANCA”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 31 October 2011

We booked a double room for 5 nights during UK school half term holiday break end of October 2011. Met my bell captain and bags taken to our room. Reception staff not over friendly but no complaints. Room had twin beds and not double, clean room but not much hotel information to hand. Breakfast fair - spent the firstday by the sheltered pool - the Atlantic is just over the wall though but not that enticing with a large swell. Without comment our room had large double bed for second night - only a zip and link. Hotel has ham-man and other water and beauty treatments as fair prices. Location is on the Corniche which is a good place to wander at night - the city is a 15 min cab ride away - cost 40 to 100 drh depending on your negotiation skills - not many taxis had meters that worked. Cost to and from airport is fixed price at 250 drh. Casablanca is under promoted and in 10 years will be a modern city with tram and plenty of new apartments. The hotel had a club and bar which were not promoted at all and we only found them the last night. Service was hit and miss, place needs a bit more T and C but would go again.

Room Tip: No tips but there are poolside rooms - our was not.

“good Location for Casablanca sights”

We stayed here only one night for the begining of our tour. First impressions were very good lots of room, clean, friendly. Right on the private beach which was beautiful, though we did not have chance to experience it..made great photos though!
The pool was amazing an unconventional shape and with many depths for an accomplished swimmer to enjoy. A smaller pool with much shallower depths also here for the children.
The location was great for Casablanca sights, all within walking distance. All westernised amenities available with ease here. Good restuarants around this area. We did not have dinner at the hotel but friends on the tour were happy with the food. The breakfast was usual continental.
The down side of this hotel was the security safe did not work, though for our one night stay this wasn't a problem.

Room Tip: Some rooms are very close to pool and resturant which may not be ideal for people wanting a quiet ni...

“Needs Updating but Great Location”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 October 2011

We stayed at the Riad Salam while waiting for a guided tour to begin. The hotel looked a little run down and was in need of some TLC. However, the location was amazing. We were close to the beach and many restaurants. We were able to stroll down the boardwalk and enjoy some great food.

“lovely for casablanca...”

Hard to find much better on the waterfront in Casablanca. The staff were lovely and could speak english, the pool is kept immaculate and was great to swim in, the rooms are a bit tired in decor but it is all very clean and service is great. After reading the reviews on here we were pleasantly surprised, especially as we found staff so helpful. It was the first place we stayed in and went on to wpend the month in Marrakech and Riad Salam was a great start to our trip.
