“Clean, safe and central”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 February 2012

Good safe hotel. Loved the working wifi in all the rooms. Very good internet connection. Felt safe there. Was a female traveling alone so safety was important to me. Breakfast was decent. Location was central. Didn't interact with the people who worked at the hotel much, but they always had a smile. The guy working in the newspaper shop on the first floor was very nice and helpful, selling me a SIM card and helping me top it up.

“Excellent quality and great value”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 20 January 2012

This is a four star hotel located in the middle of Casablanca. The Idou Anfa is one of the older large hotels in Casa, with slightly dated dark wood decor, but is nonetheless spotlessly clean and populated by friedly and helpful staff. My room was on the 14th floor and was quiet with a great view of the city. There was free fast wired and wireless internet, and buffet breakfast was good. My rate through one of the major booking engines included dinner which was also pleasant though a somewhat limited menu. One caution is that the reception tried to charge me for meals on checkout and sorting it out took a while; it's important to keep your accommodation voucher with proof of price and inclusions..

There a few critical reviews on this site. I have to say that, as an experienced traveller globally, I feel this hotel lies in the top 5% of accommodations I have used - I can thoroughly recommend.

“Convenient hotel with nice and hospitable employees”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 December 2011

I stayed in this hotel three days for work. People working there are very hospitable food is also great.
very comfortable beds. No workout premise but very nice big room for conference or seminar on the top floor, with remarkable view.
Famous mosque Hassan II is within walking distance (20 minutes on foot).

“The hotel might be practicle for short stay only.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 December 2011

The location is good, close to shopping area and to Cornish where there is most of clubs and pubs.
Our room was clean, but the carpet is looking old and dirty. Lot of noise coming from the windows, I' m not aware if they're having other rooms that are away from the noisy Anfa street!
Our room had a sharing door with another room, we could hear the next neighbour activities!
The price is too high comparing to the quality.

“Good Stay”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 18 November 2011

Having read previous reviews I was somewhat hesitant when booked onto the hotel by the tour operator but am glad to say that I found my stay there to be very good. The staff were very friendly on my arrival and throughout my stay. Located in the business district means the immediate area is not exactly attractive but plenty of local caffe's and restaurants are nearby. My room was perfectly adequate though a bit dated with a comfortable bed and was kept clean at all times. The buffet breakfast was very good and waiting staff again very cheerful and helpful. I would reccomend the bar on the top flor of the hotel (16th floor I think) which must have the best view of the largest Mosque in the Islamic world (so I was told) and which is about 15 to 20 minutes walk from the hotel. I went there the first morning of my stay and it is a very impressive sight up close though unfortunately I didnt have time for the tours which start around 11am. When I left to hotel to go to the airport the tour operator received a call from the hotel to say that I had left a jacket behind - it wasn't mine and must have been left by a previous occupant but was good to know that the hotel would do this. A couple of minutes later the hotel called again to say some money had been left in the room - told them it was a tip I had left for the staff but again was good to know they would bother doing this. Overall I found the hotel to be better than I had thought it would be and would stay again.
