“Probably the best Business Hotel in town”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 January 2012

I live very close to the Husa so I wanted to test it out for a business meeting since they are re-opening (the hotel has been refurbished and entered the Husa chain).

All I can say is that they exceeded my expectations, and the remark that I got from the people joining us was that the service was extra-ordinaire.

II will definitely be back.

“Not up to 5 star standard”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 December 2011

This hotel was quite expensive. We booked it only because of a good experience with a Husa in Andorra. The drive from the airport was a nightmare. When we arrived we found our room to be very nice. But there was no restaurant so we walked around for 30 minutes to find a place to eat dinner. There was nothing even close, but we were choked with car exhaust fumes and driven almost out of our minds by the noise. Finally we went back to the hotel and the staff recommended a very nice restaurant ten minutes away by taxi. Next day we hoped to see some of the sites of Casablanca but we soon discovered there were really none. The only redeeming feature of Casablanca to us was a visit to Rick's Cafe, a recreation of the one in the movie Casablanca. Other parts of Morocco were wonderful particularly Marrakech and we will return there but they can keep Casablanca, its awful airport and the terrible traffic. They can also keep the Husa. We learned that it was formerly the Holiday Inn. Maybe they were not ready for guests. So why charge us for a 5 star hotel when it was a moderate 3 star with no restaurant?

To be fair, the staff were excellent. they really wanted to help but it seems the management is not up to the quality of the staff.

I should also say that they did have a buffet breakfast which was excellent. However, at $22 it was way over the limit pricewise.

“Totally refurbished”

I stayed one night in the hotel at the end of april and everything looked very different from the old Crowne Plaza hotel that it was. I agree with the previous review: older reviews should be deleted. This hotel has a new management under HUSA hotels company, a spanish well established hotels chain, that i must say it's dealing with some details about hotels service. The staff is not well trained to attend every guests requirements with no dealys, all in all they are kind and try not as much as they can (you wont find a very fluent english sponken staff).
The new decoration is excellent, with nice touchs and good taste (this should be a five stars hotel, but it is actually in its way to become one of those). Room was excellent too, quite roomy, walking closet, nice and big bathroom, very comfortable bed with great linen that means a very good quality sleeping. Breakfast buffet was kind of expensive, but there were a quite good assortment of pastries, juices, fruits, hot dishes, etc., to chose from.
Considering Casablanca standards this is one of the best deals you can find nowadays. For me it was my personal oasis in a very messy, noisy and dirty city.

“Modern and clean rooms, poor organisation”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 May 2011

The hotel was recently renovated by Husa (old review should be deleted!) and it is now very modern and looks luxurious. We booked a double room with an additional (third) bed. The room itself is quite big, with stylish furniture and a good bathroom.
BUT: After waiting quite a long time at the reception, we went to our room and the third bed was missing (we later found out that they failed to notice the additional bed on the booking). So we wanted to call reception, but we couldn't find the correct number to dial. After some minutes, three staff members brought the additional bed, and we watched them making it up for about 10 minutes. So, about 20 minutes after our arrival, we finally had the room ready. But it got worse: right after the staff leaved, we noticed that there was no cold water (only hot!), and we were later explained that it was because of works at the swimming pools one floor higher. The problem was fixed about 10 minutes later.
As we wanted to go have a look at the terrace floor (where the swimming pools is), we just couldn't reach it (the button in the lift didn't not work), and only after a room maid told us, we came to know that the pool wasn't open yet (she said it should open by the end of May).
Summing it up - it's a nice, modern hotel, with big rooms (for two people), but organization has to be improved drastically to reach 5 star level. If one day this is reached, and the pool and spa are are open, it could be a very nice hotel (that's why I give 4 stars).

“Best avoided!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 May 2009

Never again! - is what I would say for this hotel. They rate themselves as a 5-star hotel on the internet and it is anything but that! It is a narrow dingy little hotel buidling and the rooms were old and smelly. The carpets were dirty and looked like they had never been cleaned. The first room that we were allotted did not have the air-conditioning working and only when we complained, they shifted us to another room which was no better. We were stuck in this place for two days and had the most horrible experience ever. In fact, it is a shady place and we were happy to check-out from there. I wold never recommend it to anyone.
