“Very nice :)”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 February 2012

We went early feb 2012, my boyfriend and I. We went for a quiet break in the sun. The only disappointment we found with this hotel was the room they put us in first, it was in the 4000 block (room number 4012), the block is based right next door to the room where the entertainment is put on in the evening, if you decide you want an early night there is no chance of you sleeping until atleast 11.30, when the music stops. We asked to move rooms the next day, which was no problem.

The staff were all extremely friendly and helpful, without ever pestering you or being over bearing. They had live music in the early evening for entertainment in the lobby bar, and the animation team put on good performances later in the founty bar. 5/5

There was a variety of food every day, which was nice for what it is. No complaints there and no stomach upsets or anything. 5/5

The weather wasn't great, 2 days it was totally cloudy, and even when the sun was out if there was a breeze it felt quite cold. However, we did manage to tan and a windblock helps prevent the effects of the wind. This also means you can't go in the outdoor pools as the water is freezing. 3/5

The rooms were very clean, they were kept tidy by the maids to a good standard. No complaints 5/5

Overall a very enjoyable holiday, would definitely recommend it to anyone else. If we were to go back we may consider going a different month when the weather is going to be slightly better!

Room Tip: Don't accept a room in the block near the Founty bar if you want early/quiet nights. (4000+)

“A great place but not in August”

I went here last summer with a friend and we had a great time. The rooms were spacious and clean and had a great view from the balcony. The food was yummy. There were 2 a la carte restaurants open in the eveing as well as the main one and you could use them as often as you liked. The Moroccan one served really tasty food. Plus it meant you could eat in less busy surroundings. The entertainment was really good in the lobby early evening. The animation team were remarkably talented. Lots of fun.
Facilities in the hotel were of a very high standard.
The one drawback was the mist in the morning. Sun came out really late morning or sometimes eary afternoon. I am not sure if we were unlucky last year but I do know someone else went there later in August and they had the same disappointing weather.

I have stayed at this hotel twice
First time the food was better than second time.
All-inc RIU hotel standards -
food 7:00-22:00
Drink 10:00-23:45
Entertainment was ok but basic
Staff ok except reception staff who were rude

Think if I returned again I'd rather try the Bigger Riu nextdoor

“excellent value for money and had a wonderful time celebrating my partners 60th birthday”

Having read previous mixed reviews we were absolutely delighted with our choice of hotel ! we had visited Agadir 13 yrs ago - they now have a promenade and more hotels since our last visit so it was interesting to see the changes, all for the better we felt. I had e mailed the hotel prior to arrival requesting a quiet, high floor room and were given room 335 which had a nice side sea view, was very quiet and on the top floor well away from any noise. Because my partner likes to sit out on the balcony in the sun unfortunately it didnt reach our room at all and we tried to upgrade to sea or pool view room which sadly they couldnt accommodate because the hotel was full. However we were very happy with our room, and we are quite fussy travellers. The hotel staff were very friendly and accommodating, the evening entertainment was fine with us and the team of staff organising the all day entertainment were excellent, couldnt fault them at all. They offer arabic lessons, tagine cooking, moroccan mint tea making and made it very well. The hotel guests were mainly French who were very pleasant, quiet and friendly. Food and drink was plentiful with a good selection of dishes which we found tasty and well cooked - we would have liked to experience a few spicy dishes as we found a lot of the food a little bland at times, but no complaints. We try to get away in the winter and will certainly revisit this hotel, we have even taken note of the room numbers we will try to book next time. We hope everyone who uses this hotel will be as pleased as we were. Oh and we were lucky with the weather, we stayed 11 nights from the 12th January and had hot sun everyday, all be it from 11am until 3.30pm when the temp drops quite quickly.

Room Tip: e mail hotel in advance they cant promise but will do their best - try to book a sea or pool view ro...
